Some good captures, well done :) I love live music photography and its challenges but lately that has been in direct conflict with my increasing appreciation of silence and calmness :D

i understand you fully :) in the appreciation of silence :)

it is just second week of the place working, the stage lights look ok live but are to low to take any photos. the ceiling is white so that is a plus for flash, but it does make everything looking kinda the same :) that is probably why i find wide lens interesting :)

True :) Changing light, moving subjects, limited space, it really feels great when there are good captures after such a challenge :))) I've shot a few concerts and theatrical plays, sometimes the dynamic range of the cameras is so far from sufficient too :) And as much as I don't like "zoom" lenses over the prime ones, live events demand for them...

zoom lenses would be great, i kinda never bought them :D (except the sigma 18-35 but it does not work on a full frame now :) )

It's kinda funny how almost all of the photographers I've seen on live music events carry a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. Actually that's probably the best lens, considering the conditions and it has been for decades...
I like to get closer though, so I bring 100-400mm, it's a bit slower and thus more noise due to the higher ISO but I take a bit different photos from the rest :)

70-200 f/2.8 is probably the lens with the least compromise. you will not get more than 2.8 on that zoom range and you can get pretty close.
one of the lenses i always wanted to buy, at the moment the RF mount is just crazy expensive.

On the plus side one of the things that really improved on new cameras is the ISO so you can push it now a bit more and not notice. especially how people are now checking photos on their mobile phones, you can get away with a lot.

my new favorite is 16mm, it is totally different. but here i have some freedom so i can get close with it.

True :) I suspect quality photo equipment will get even more expensive with time as less people will buy it over "high quality" phones.
I have a 16-35mm f/2.8 and that's basically the lens I am always traveling with. 16 - great for landscapes, 35 - great for street and documentary, everything in between is also good. I had a small fun project photographing people I know with 16mm from a very close distance, the distortion is awesome :D

those must be some good friends or they didn't know what the results will be 😂

i do have a round face so wider lenses are not that bad if i am in the center :D

18-35 sigma was my most used lens on a crop sensor.

When I saw Udarnik and Beer, I thought you were on Beer Days in Zrenjanin... :)

Nice captures, especially knowing how hard is to take photos indoors with with not too much light :)

Missed it this year.

At the moment it has to be all flash :) lights are to low for photos, but they actually look fine live, so makes no sense to make it brighter only for me :)

Udarnik kinda makes sense for a band playing old ex yu rock :)
