Three Tune Tuesday: Summer-Time West Coast Hip-Hop Vibes

This week for Three Tune Tuesday I'm feeling the summer vibes. School is letting out all across the country end we're getting ready to head into those summer months.

There was nothing like hanging out with friends on those summer nights back in the day. And as a hip-hop head, nothing gives summer vibes like west coast hip-hop.

A lot of West Coast artists rap over beats that slap just right, the flows are clean, and the energy is fun.

And not too many artists do it quite like LaRussell, Dom Kennedy, and Larry June.

The first song on the list is AM I MUSTY? by LaRussell. I'm pretty new to a lot of his work but I like how he creates his music. He's in and out and his music is simply FUN! This video is pretty cool if you remember Marshawn Lynch taking over the cart back in college at Cal, good time!

The next song is When I Come Around by Dom Kennedy. This is a classic at this point but this is a song that's always in my feel-good music rotation. Dom Kennedy is an artist I used to listen to a ton back in college. He makes a lot of really good lifestyle music that isn't too violent or negative and this is one of my favorite songs by him.

The last song is GREEN JUICE IN DALLAS by Larry June. And just a warning, this one is a rap video rap video. But the song is too fly for me not to add it to the playlist. And it has one of my favorite producers CARDO on the beat. Good job CARDO! Larry June is another artist who makes a lot of really good lifestyle music though and this one is a banger for sure.
