Hello there, my fellow musicians and music lovers!

Coming up to this second round of the Hive Music Festival, we continue on the trend of Boleros. This time we go to the cradle of the genre, Cuba. This song is quite famous as it has many and many versions that range from different styles and singers. It couldn't be other way as it is also very easy. It has a catchy rhythm.

You might heard it before Quizás, quizás, quizás by composer Osvaldo Farrés. It is an interesting composition as it holds the key of understanding the whole idea behind Bolero. An easy melody that could make you cry by its lyrics. A modulation that doesn't cause much trouble. And the cadence! I bet there isn't a chatchier cadence in a song that the one this has. It's also the thing that gives it its name.

It was a lot of fun to get an easy song in the repertoire in the midst of studying for a festival.

Continuando con el tema en esta segunda ronda del Hive Music Festival, nos vamos a la cuna del bolero. Este viene directo desde Cuba. Es una canción muy famosa con muchas interpretaciones en estilos diferentes y con cantantes diferentes. No podría ser de otra manera. Tiene un ritmo muy pegajoso. Además, cuenta con una melodía muy sencilla.

Quizá ya la hayas escuchado antes. Quizás, quizás, quizás es una composición de Osvaldo Farrés. Es una pieza que tiene el secreto para enteder el género del bolero. Tiene una melodía con una letra que te podría hacer llorar. Tiene una modulación sencilla. Y su cadencia. No creo que haya una canción con una cadencia tan pegajosa como esta. Y es esta parte la que le da su nombre al tema.

Fue muy divertido tomar una pieza tan sencilla en el medio de los estudios para el festival.
