Hello there, black-and-white photography lovers!

It's been more than a month that I got the idea of buying a case for one of my instruments. It was a sort of ultimatum. Mom came to my room and told me about the instrument getting too much dust. She has learned a thing or too about the value of these pieces. Since it is also the one I use for live presentations, she made the argument that it looks more professional to arrive with a case than with the instrument in my hands.

It didn't take much to convince. The idea was already in my head. And it also helped my trying something I had been looking forward to since a long time. Quickly, I went into my Instagram to look for the page of Fj Estuches. I have followed them since I started making instruments. They are one of the specialists on making cases for instruments and I have seen their work before.

So they gave me all the details. They also have a nice web page in which you can check out the models for the kind of case you're looking for. To start, I bought the cheapest one. It's valued at 65$. They have several payment methods. And you have to pay the complete amount at once. It takes one week to finish one of these cases and then, they send it over to you. Of course, it is a C.O.D delivery.

Another neat detail is that they'll ask you for the measurements of the instruments. The width of the bouts and waist. The complete length. The length of the neck and head stock. Width of the head stock. Length of the body. And all these details are tailored into the case. The reason? Once you get it, it fits your instrument like a glove.

It also comes with a sort of pocket to store something relevant to your gigs. Maybe a cloth to wipe your instrument once you're done. Emergency strings. A tuner. It looks nice and is very light. Without a doubt it is once of the best purchases of this year.

I might get into offering instruments with these cases if someone asks. Knowing the quality of their work, it wouldn't be farfetched!
