For the last week of these rounds, I bring my last piece on this homage to Aldemaro Romero. It is a waltz named "De Conde a Principal". It's a beautiful piece with some really amazing melody. It also has some great lyrics if you wanna look up for a sung version.

The first time I heard this piece was from a record by C4 Trio. It was a track included in this collaboration album with Gualberto Ibarreto as one of the instrumental pieces. I don't know who decided that to be a thing, but the version is incredible. Make yourself a favor and go listen to it.

There's not much more to add. The complexity of the piece comes by virtue of its harmony. We already know the composer liked to use some more progressive chords in his style. As you can listen in the waltz, there's the possibility of changing the rhythm to fit an Onda Nueva pattern. And that's always some nice trick to have. While I was recording this, I had a little spider rest on top of my phone watching me. I don't know if spiders can listen to music, but this one was there until I stopped playing. Kind of neat to have such an audience. Anyways, here's my cover!

Cover de De Conde a Principal

Para la última semana de estas rondas, les traigo la última pieza de mi homenaje a Aldemaro Romero. Es el vals "De Conde a Principal", una pieza con una melodía hermosa. También tiene una letra muy buena por si quieren buscar una versión cantada.

La primera que escuché este vals fue una versión de C4 Trio. Esta estaba incluida en la colaboración con Gualberto Ibarreto. No sé a quién se le ocurrió colocar esa pieza instrumental ahí, pero la verdad es que es una grabación increíble. Hazte un favor y ve a escucharla.

No hay mucho más que añadir por aquí. La dificultad en esta pieza está en su armonía. Ya sabemos que el compositor gustaba de utilizar acordes más modernos en sus progresiones. También existe la posibilidad de cambiar el ritmo a Onda Nueva. No lo hice en esta ocasión, pero es algo que es bueno recordar. Mientras grababa, había una araña muy pequeña encima de mi teléfono. No sé si las arañas pueden escuchar música, pero esta estuvo ahí mientras estaba tocando. Al terminar de grabar, se retiró. Es interesante tener ese tipo de público. De cualquier manera, ¡aquí está mi cover!
