Riding on the Bolero wave for this round 2, week 86 of the Hive Music Festival, I've come with a song that must be part of every karaoke in LATAM. It's a classic by Juan Gabriel, Te lo Pido por favor. The lyrics of this song are a poem to love and affection towards a special person. Plus, it holds the essence of the songs composed by El Divo de Juárez.

I'm not a fan of Juan Gabriel, but I have to admit the guy had an amazing voice and a very interesting way of composing music. You can always feel what you're supposed to with every one of his pieces. And conveying feelings in music that arise by just listening is a art form in itself.

Who hasn't listened to one of his hits and said "damn, this guy knew how to hit you in the feelings!"?

I hope my cover holds up to such a beautiful song. There was no need to adorn or add things. Maybe just making my version shorter without all the repetitions of the piece. It already has enough beauty in its melody, so this is one of those cases where playing it feels like beauty itself manifesting.

Continuando en la onda del bolero para esta semana 86, ronda 2, he traído un clásico del género y que debe ser una canción que forma parte de todo el repertorio de karaokes en América Latina. Es un clásico de Juan Gabriel, Te lo Pido por favor. La letra de esta canción es un verdadero poema de amor. Además, captura la esencia de las composiciones de El Divo de Juárez.

No soy un fan de Juan Gabriel, pero admito que tenía una voz increíble y unas ideas para componer muy bien desarrolladas. Siempre sabes qué sentir con sus canciones desde el inicio. Lograr ese efecto en la música es un arte en sí mismo.

¿Quién no ha escuchado una de sus composiciones y dicho "¡este tipo sí que sabe lo que hace!"?

Espero que mi cover este a la altura de una canción tan bella. No hubo necesidad de adornar la pieza. Ya la misma melodía tiene todos sus adornos. Mi versión solo recorta un poco las repeticiones. Tocar el tema es una experiencia estética como se tienen pocas veces como músico.
