My Top Video Game Tunes

This week I would like to share my favorite songs from the video games I have played in the past. With so many great music surrounding the gaming space picking a top three was rather difficult. If you've ever found yourself humming a tune long after you've powered down your console or closed your PC, you're not alone. This LSS factor (last song syndrome) was a main basis for selecting my top 3 for my #TTT #threetunetuesday post. I hope you like it.

Thanks to @ablaze for this initiative. I've been wanting to write about some music for a bit now and glad I came across this post. Quote from ablaze below:

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

By the way if you are into video games and music, let me know in the comments so I could drop by your page and check out the games and songs you play. I'd love to connect with more people here on Hive. You can also check out one of the recent games I've reviewed on mobile here.

One Winged Angel

Need I explain more? These theme just gives the perfect final boss battle vibe. If there is a boss music, it is definitely this one. The song is part of the soundtrack for the popular video game, Final Fantasy VII, composed by the legendary Nobuo Uematsu. It's the theme song for one of the most iconic and enigmatic villains in gaming history, Sephiroth. An epic song for an epic game. Doesn't get better than that. Just like Sephiroth, the song itself is full of complexity and transitions from being haunting symphony to a barrage of beautifully orchestrated fast metal rock. If you don't know this song, do yourself a favor and listen to it now. Thank me later.

Why

Part of the video game experience is its music. This song capable of taking you into a journey of emotions. Ayaka's passionate and heartfelt performance in this song is just too perfect on the scene it was played. This musical backdrop complements the lyrical content and Ayaka's vocals, further enhancing the emotional depth of the song. I don't wanna spoil it if you haven't played final fantasy crisis core yet. Just make sure to have some tissues with you. Or be sure to ask who is slicing the onions.

Sanctuary

Song is from Kingdom Hearts. That alone is more than enough reason to have this one on everyone's top list of video game songs. The song was performed by none other than Japanese Legend Utada Hikaru. Fun fact, if you are listening to the English version, you might hear some words that can't be understood. Try to listening to it backwards as these lyrics have been in sung reverse. The song features a catchy and memorable melody that is instantly recognizable to fans of the series. Its distinctive tune has made it a staple of Kingdom Hearts' identity. Over time, this song has become closely associated with the Kingdom Hearts franchise. It's not just a song; it's a symbol, it is an icon, it's a memory card of the series and a source of nostalgia for long-time fans.

And there you have it for this weeks TTT. Let me know which of the three is your favorite, and you can also recommend one video game song which you like. Thanks.

I'm playing the FF Crisis Core now but have not yet stumbled on Why. It's probably on the ending, which I'm still so far from reality. LOL
Good song though! Will be saving it in my playlist.

I sometimes find myself listening to overworld OST from RPGs when I am wanting to relax or battle OST from various action games because the beats are usually designed to amp the player up and it helps me start the day.

The OST in Final Fantasy 7(PS1) is top notch. 'Ahead On Our Way' is probably the one I revisit the most. Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed reading your post.
