They would've changed the world.
I forgot to clip my toe nails. Which generally isn't a problem, they're well guarded inside socks (I bough new ones, so most don't even have holes), inside sneakers or shoes or whatever I use to protect my callus from the rough Ecuadorian environment. Except for right now. I'm sitting on the porch at my favorite spot in the Intag Valley, and there's nothing but the sound of a bazillion insects and the river. And my toe hurts because I was in the pool for around 6h straight. More or less.

I did walk around a little, gotta fill those steps, you feel me. And I'm staring at those toes and notice that I didn't clip them. And now, soaked as they are they stare right back at me, white and bloated and overall quite unpleasant for the eyes. And one of them is cutting into the toe. Why now? No idea. I drove here for a couple of hours, and everything fine. I walked around in the grass and over bamboo sprouts, everything fine. I petted dogs with those feet, and they were pleased, and my feet did not send any signs of agony through the nerve autobahn. All I did was step out of the pool, get to the kitchen to grab a beer, and walk back to the cabin. The insects are so loud that I can't even hear my own typing. Pretty impressive. But just now, looking at that toe nail, the toe started hurting. It must be placebo, right?
I took a picture. This song was suggested as title song for my story. I do love that album. And George. And Eric. Sometimes I think that Eric and George would've made the best duo in the world. All coming from my all time favorite song:
And yes, on purpose I use the version from the memorial concert. Because nobody is as connected to the song as Eric, having done the guitar riff when George didn't know how to go forward. It's a brilliant song on all levels. Everytime that we sing it during the Jamsession, I discover new nuances in the text, in the chords, in the vibes. And yes, that song is the base for my theory that George should've done a Duo with Eric. And yes, that's why "Journeyman" is one of the best albums ever created.
Bridge, not badge. How many times in history has misreading lead to revolutionary changes? Schabowski was one of them. More or less, nobody really knows, but it's too late now.
Today, misreading is way too common. Just quickly going over the message, without grasping the content, replying quick to switch to the next. Paying attention is too expensive these days. In an average, nobody notices anyway, so it's more rewarding not to pay it, but only to claim.
I'm getting off topic. This is "just" music. Not political. Not socio-critical. Just music. Because we didn't have Clapton & Harrison. That duo would've made the world a better place.
