The Big Circus of the Invisibles.

Yesterday's jam was a blast. We played many songs and so much fun doing so. Even Backstreet Boys were in the mix! Hence I woke up with the good vibes of music in my heart.

Yet tired. Both Ellie and Lily stayed over night, and after the Jam, while Lily was already sleeping, Ellie and I stayed up sitting on the bed talking for a while. And then Lily had a nightmare. And then she woke up very early. The typical "tired all day" recipe.

It's interesting how all the struggles with the mother affect me. I question so many thing that I usually didn't. Yesterday I felt a little bad because I let Lily stay up for an hour longer. One of her friends came to visit as a surprise, and the two of them played along so well. I didn't want to interrupt that, and I had my fair share of good conversation with the other dad. Yet I thought I should've brought her to bed earlier.

It's good to question oneself. Especially when it comes to raising a child. It shouldn't be done with complacency, nor thoughtlessly. But as always, there's a point when it's too much. When me questioning myself leads to an insecurity that consequently will affect Lily. Kids sense insecurity. And they don't like it. The good thing is that I got aware of it. Time to work on it.

Obrint Pas is a Ska-Punk band from Valencia, Spain - the Catalan region, known for their ongoing disputes about independence. They sing in catalán, which makes it somewhat hard to understand the lyrics though speaking most fluent Spanish. Which is the point...

One of the most remarkable treats of this band is that they use the Dolçaina, a woodwind instrument with and incredibly distinctive sound. That weird melody instrument in the songs, somewhat squawky? That's the one.

I listened to this band a lot in my Ska-Punk-Phase 20 years back. And I still enjoy it. The other week I remembered some of the Folk-Punk bands like Gogol Bordello, Flogging Molly and such - and then Obrint Pas. Especially Benvigut Al Paradis is a great album, that's why I put the whole playlist in here.

Hope you enjoy it!
