New beats

Yesterday started as a very, very bad day. I lost it. For a moment. But I'm not one to curl up in the corner. Deep breaths. Confront the problem. See what is what, and then solve it. Sounds easy, and it becomes easy. With time and practice.
I did solve some of them, but mainly for everyone else, while I was left exhausted and tired. Nothing new, either. Some meditation on the bed, with the prospect of falling asleep in the process, did help. Even though the roof builders next door were doing their best to inhibit any sleep. But here, too - practice makes it all go away. Everything. The ability to focus on what's necessary and important is always underestimated. So I fell asleep while feeling my breath to the sound of a grinder.
And then we just went out. First me. Then friends joined me. Then Ellie, too. We had a great evening, and it was healing to be among them. Community has that power. We didn't even go into deep stuff, but did a lot of bad jokes and just fooled around, danced a little to a new band that had just released their first album. Kind of typical Latin rock, as you can hear in the links provided. But not extraordinary. Awesome to witness live, as most of them are. Live music always has that little extra, but with Latin bands? It's a lot more.
Before falling into bed, Ellie and I had a great talk, too. Making plans. Assessing our situations. Strategizing. Being accomplices. What started out as a hard day, with much hurt and tears, turned into a hopeful one in the end.

Love your optimism there, Deep Breaths and confront the problem. Its hard for sure, it doesn't have to work always, but if it becomes a habit, everything will be a little lighter. Then accompany it with good music, that's just another to reason to just DO IT.
Love the vibes of these songs, the beat and everything. 2 is my fav, even though I can't understand the lyrics 😆
Yeah it always takes some time to analyze and find solutions. Especially when it's about the little one, I try to be as sure as possible that the actions taken will benefit her.
Ah, life's ups and downs.
Well done. I didn't sleep last night and it was quiet! I remember being in India once and they were angle grinding til 2 am. I was crying because I hadn't slept because of India's noise for weeks.
And yes, live music trumps everything. It can make you understand or love a band you didn't get before.
