Fast & Furious & Fun for work.

It's been a while since I threw some music out there. Not because I wasn't listening to music, but due to not taking the time to write posts. Yesterday we had a great jamsession again, so music is really all around. I drank too much, though. But worth it, and sometimes necessary. So, what are we going to listen today? Well, since I'm working a lot more, let's go for the music that gets me into gear at 5.30am.
This is actually also my ringtone on my cellphone, for around 15 years now. It's really funny to listen to it from the album in the morning, as I immediately reach for my phone to see who's calling. It's Ska-Punk. Ska-Punk is calling. I saw Talco live on 3 festivals I think, and absolutely loved the performance. Very impressive timing and discipline for a Ska-Punk band. Nothing like Mad Caddies, who always seemed to be wanting to puke into their instruments. Also fun.
Can't write about Talco without bringing in St. Pauli. That's one of the most awesome football (real football, not that weird bs from the USA), socially incredibly active, between left and extreme left, with many activists in the black block (militant anti-fascists) in demonstrations in Hamburg. Solidarity above all there. And it's a great song, too!
This stuff really gets me going double time in the morning. I can't really crank it up since the neighbors complain all the time, but it's still amazing how a good beat lightens the workload quickly. And there's a lot of nostalgia to it, of course. With almost 40 years on my back, that's an important factor.
And yes, all those three songs are from one album, still my favorite (I just listened to the new ones, too, which are the same style and therefor nice).
That's it for today. I wish you a wonderful weekend and thank you for reading!
