Garden Time is Near - Three Tunes Tuesday

avatar

( EN / DE ) January is the time of the year, where in every garden lover stirs the longing for spring and all the small and large activities in the garden. We also had a conversation today with @xplosive @melinda010100 and @foxkoit in our ecency discord about the fact that, at least to a certain extent, the possibility of cultivating a small piece of land can be a contribution to escape from poverty.

For example, this photo shows a raspberry plant that we planted in our garden last year. Now, if it likes the place and our care, it will probably give us very tasty sweet fruit for years!

A small field, juicy, fresh, natural vegetables and fruits, what could awaken the feeling of abundance and prosperity more? So the idea was born to put this #threetunestuesday under the motto "garden".

However, I must confess, I didnt find very much suitable music to this theme. After all, here are 3 songs:

TTT 1 - Garden Song by John Denver

A song I didnt know by now, but somehow I like it!

"Inch by inch, row by row, gonna make this garden grow..."

Garden Song by John Denver

TTT 2 - Green Green Garden by Chris Haugen

Very fine and soothing instrumental music, if you close your eyes you can very well imagine lying somewhere comfortably in a garden hammock, can't you?

Green Green Garden by Chris Haugen

TTT 3 - "Summer Wine" Cover by The Corrs & Bono

The last one isn't really a garden song, but it's one of my (countless) favorites, especially in this variation.

And finally, we must not forget, each sip of sweet summer wine also had its origin "only" in earth, water, work and a small seed.

"Summer Wine" Cover by The Corrs & Bono

This was my contribution to the ThreeTunesTuesday #ttt by @ablaze

50% payout of this post will go to @xplosive to support him and of course I also hope my songs are a little inspiration to step into the "adventure gardening"

I am also thinking about starting growing a small amount of raspberry inside the house in balcony boxes. I have not tried it so far, but I read a Hungarian articles about it, and one of them writes that growing radish and strawberry is amongst the easiest.

I am not sure if the strawberries and rhasberries are good for growing inside? They need light and sun too.
Also consider, depending on the sort you will only have harvest 2 times a year the rest they are green. Inside you will have to water them, but outside most of the time have no work with and they need bees and others to get fruits.
But maybe it works :-)

Oh I love the Corrs! I think starting a garden is a great way to start building your wealth. Each step towards food independence makes you stronger, plus the fun and adventure you can have.

Great post!
True, if one can have their own garden it goes a long way to be able to sustain yourself and much healthier. Nowadays one doesn't know if "Bio" is really "Bio".
Love your #ttt list, especially Sumer Wine by The Corrs and Bono, hey I'm Portuguese/South African and we sure do love our wine.

Ah excellent, gardening and some lovely music to go with it. I am actually lucky to live in the countrysie and therefore have a nice big back garden with lots of space. I keep threatening to put in a little vegetable garden, there is nothing quite like home grown food. Even eating it, you get a better feeling in yourself that you know that it's as fresh as it could possibly be and there are no pesticicides and other nasties on it. That's a nice trio tunes to fit the garden theme too, nice one.
