Soulful....
Due to the advent of technology and all its beautiful forms which have helped man in major areas of life, I tend to feel that it has also led to scarcity of originality.
There were things that we enjoyed in the 80’s and 90’s that are no longer in existence and if they are, they are no longer valued or appreciated.
The fast lane is what matters now
While reading a post by @kingsleyy. I came to understand that indeed so many things have phased out.
I recall listening to cool songs that we popularly referred to as blues as a child on my dad's radio set. These sets of songs were cool and their lyrics made a lot of sense.
The times I am referring to were the times when Celine Dion, Shania Twain, Tony Braxton, May J. Blige, Micheal Jackson, James Elton, Boyz 2 Men, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston and many more musical geniuses reigned.

In my country, there were also musical geniuses who were appreciated for their ingenuity in composing lyrics. But sadly, a lot has changed. Many modern artists no longer sit down to compose their lyrics. I have lost touch with some musicians because there is no musical value attached to their songs.
All we hear are loud and heavy beats but beyond that, what is the artist saying? Sometimes it would be only the chorus of the song that would be heard. Nothing else but beats and instrumentals all through.
Listening to some songs on my playlist last night, a song by Micheal Jackson began to play. I had forgotten about this particular song but when it began to play, it was nostalgic. I felt like I was being transported back to the 80’s.
The simplicity of the words and the beats were just so cool and relaxing. I quickly went online to search for the modernized version of the song and even though that song was well planned, it doesn't match the one from the 80’s.
Maybe I just like the songs from that era too much or I'm a blues fanatic but I'll stand with bringing back those soulful music that I enjoyed listening to back in the day 😁.
