Life is short.

Warm greetings everyone!

Recently I wrote a post on things that makes me happy and bring me happiness. One on the list is my daughter, I recall stating that I have watched her grow from when she was a tiny tot till now that she's a teenager and I must say that it's been a blissful journey filled with experiences.

We all want things that make us happy. We also stay closer to those who make us happy, that's basic human nature.

But what happens when we get caught up with life, trying to meet needs that we fail to fully appreciate those who make us happy in their own way.

Life is short....value the people in your life.

I have heard that saying countless times, virtually everywhere. This made me recall another saying that goes..

You don't value what you have until you lose it.

I don't want to wait til I lose someone dear to me before I realise their value and worth in my life.

Which makes me appreciate this song I am about to share with you all. Life is short, nothing is guaranteed. Live and love. It doesn't cost much to value and appreciate the people in your circle who have brought happiness in to your life.

Once a particular age and time has passed, it can never ever be recovered. The only thing left would be memories. Added to this, I also desire a life well spent with the ones dear to me, cherishing every single moment with them as their being here, in my life, brings me so much happiness.

Seven years old by Lukas Graham

This song resonated with me so strongly. Time flies, it flies away without a trace.

Don't wait till you learn about your dear ones falling ill or kicking the bucket before you realize that you haven't treated them right.

Just like a story I was told long ago about a young man whose dad did everything possible to get through school and life but this young man never once valued his dad's efforts. He'd rather blame his dad for their poverty, asking his dad why he wasn't as rich as the other kids dad. His dad only smiled and walked away, carrying the pain in his heart.

One day, this young man left home, abandoned his dad and after a few years, his dad passed away. Then like scales falling from the eyes of the blind, this young man became remorseful. It dawned on him the reality that he would never see his dad ever again. He went bitterly and even conducted s honorary burial for his dad but alas it was too late. His dad was gone forever.

Let this be your moment of awakening.

No matter how busy in life we get, happiness is still essential. Appreciate the ones who make you happy.

Thank you for reading

This is indeed a piece to make us have a rethink of how we treat the people who bring happiness in our lives and yes, life is very short that if we fail to show the people who care for us love today we may not do so tomorrow, which may lead to regrets.

You are very correct, we honestly need to appreciate those we have around us. Daily, we should seek ways to put a smile on people's face. Be the reason why somebody is happy each day, be remembered for good. That guy you mentioned will never forgive himself

We must always appreciate the people around us not until we lose them before we know their significance

Life should be lived without regrets of not spending it the way we wanted.

Doing things that makes us happy is a great attribute of good life.
And being good to others without wasting the opportunity of showing love and care to those around us.

I love the song.
It tells a whole lot of life story.

@beckyroyal Dare to explore, to love, to fall and get up. In every laugh and every tear, you discover the essence of your being. Because life is a little while. Greetings

What an awesome write-up, it's obvious that this life is short and it's high time we appreciate those who make up happy in their own way, quarreling, keeping malice, and unhealthy relationships won't do us good.

Thanks for sharing this.
