I Can't Stay Silent!

Hello again hivians and music lovers!

Silence is golden ....so I've heard for a long time coming. Then I learnt again that Silence has a voice, hmm.....is this for real?

Where I grew up, silence was taken as consent. The society believes that for one to be silent, then such a one is not innocent. Then I ask..."where is the voice of silence?" and "why can't it speak when I need not use words?" ......these and many more probe my mind.

Alas! no answers were forthcoming........ I have come to understand that there is a time and place for everything.....a time to laugh and a time to be sober. A time to dance and a time to keep still.....a time to be silent and a time to speak or in better vocabulary, a time to communicate.

The society will only believe those who can argue their case strongly and denerit those ones who cannot even communicate properly.

I once asked my teacher why a woman cannot become a president in my country and he had no answer for me. This prompted me to assume that there's a masogynist scheme against women in my country.

Female children are not allowed to get an education and if by chance, they get an education.... it's jus at the elementary level. I have prior time oveehead some fathers say that the girl Child doesn't need an education, since she will be relegated to the kitchen later in life...... how pitiful. Thank goodness for those brave fatthers who invested in their daughter's education and saw it through to the end.

Another scenario that I can't stay silent about is in organizations. Males are allowed to advance and get promoted as often as they wish to but if a female tries to climb the pedestal of success in her chosen career path, she is told to mind her place, her place being the kitchen, she is shushed......told to stay silent.

why can't a woman rule a state?

Why can't a female head an organization?

Why do some societies relegate women to the back seat ?

***Why should a woman be silenced when she has a better contribution to offer? ***

I can't stay silent...... I want to dream and be able to shout it loud for the world to hear. I want to be able to work towards my goals, without fear of reproach from society.

I want to do just that...communicate my goals, dreams and visions without being afraid of my gender status or opposites.
