I havr often heard it said that the grass is greener on the other side but soon I got to realize rhat the grass is only greener where the effort has been put in. A lot of times our expectations doesn't play out the way that we want it and this can make one feel frustrated and even hopeless.

But if we could just take a chill pill, relax and look at how far we have come, we would realize that we are doing much better than we thought. The unrealistic imaginations or fantasies that we have only exist because we feed it daily but if we can simply be kind to ourselves, we will see goodness all around.

As we step into the eight month of the year today, I will like to pass on some good will message especially to those who feel like they are not measuring up or doing enough. I find that quote very true and I think that we need to understand that more than the destination, we can also enjoy the process or journey to getting to our destination. You never know, the life you have been searching for is staring at you right in the face beckoning on you to really look and see the goodness around you.

I wole this morning to the smiling faces of my little family as we all cheered happy new month. I received some amazing texts from online friends who also wished me a happy new month and I reciprocated with a smile on my face. I couldn't help but see the goodness all around my life. I may not be where I want to be or even wish to be but I'm happy and content with where I'm at and how far I have come.
