Sunshine
I wasn't wasting it, the sunshine, and I set out to enjoy it all day, soak it in and take it all home with me. Selfish...no, there was plenty to go around, and I shared mine with my guy besides; I needed it though, the warmth, the way it reaches in and touches my heart and soul, and I needed a day to spend in the garden, walking, sitting, and laying under the sun with my guy.
The air was cool, it's that time of year, however that sunshine had other ideas and as we wandered it began to soak right into parts of me that have felt winters chill and...I welcomed it, and the carefree moments spent in the gardens with nature and my guy.
He's away now, not forever of course, just for a little while, and I'm going to miss him but it's one of those has to be done things and it's not in him to send someone else to do what is his responsibility to do. I love that about him, but it means time spent alone sometimes, like now; I have my mum here of course, but you know what I mean, alone without my guy.
We had lunch in the gardens on Sunday, French baguettes, coffee and we split a pastry afterwards. We ate on deep green grass surrounded by flowers and trees, bathed in sunshine and under the bluest sky we'd seen for a little while. After, we laid there in silence and let nature soak in. I fell asleep, a hazard of me laying in the sun.
Sunday was a farewell of sorts, a day to be together, talk through the last details of the situation and to enjoy some time relaxing. Now he's gone, but thoughts of him will warm me, as did the sunshine on the weekend. Here's three tracks about sunshine I love, I selected them today as they remind me of last Sunday.
The best source of vitamins that the sun helps you produce is vitamin D, here we call it the vitamin of the "sunlight", in Venezuela we have sun all year round, we do not have different types of weather seasons, therefore the sun always dominates, from my balcony I have the wonderful opportunity to enjoy beautiful sunrises and beautiful sunsets, and of course a whole sunny day, and when the days are gray because of the rainy season, I really need the sun.
Living in an area in front of the sea, I can enjoy a lot of that sun that fills my life with energy, I understand what you say to enjoy that sun that filled your day with joy, best of all is that you enjoyed it accompanied by a loved one.
Do you ever wish you have different weather for the seasons?
As much as I love the warmth, I love the fact I have the four seasons here, especially days like I talk about in this post, cold but blue skies and warmth in the sunshine. I love dressing for the four seasons also.

wo, sorry for my late reply, I was 18 hours without electricity, it is very frequent in the area where I live,
In answer to your question, if I would like to live that experience of living the different seasons of the year, I do not know what that feels like, but I see it as if it were times of renewal of life itself, and that must be the same as the behavior of nature, I say this because nature goes through the changes that generate the seasons, I do not know what it is to be with a very cold climate as is the winter in some latitudes of the world.
I only know of the embracing heat or the rainy season, but the sun is still there.
There's no need to apologise sir, I feel sorry that you had no electricity for so long, it's sad that happens in the modern world. I empathise with you.
I hope you get to experience the four seasons sometime; yes, it's cold in winter but the seasons either side of it fall (autumn) and spring are such beautiful seasons to experience, each with their own qualities.
Thank you for replying and I hope things improve with your electricity service.

Beautiful songs Becca, I haven't heard them before, and they are beautiful. Thank you for sharing them.
In the third one, there is a radiant light that I loved, beautiful voice.
And the second one caught my attention, beautiful video and very original.
Beautiful those days that one spends under the sun... it happens to me that I almost fall asleep on the beach in the sun, I love it, it feels like sweet caresses of light and warmth.
Thank you Becca.❤️
Thank you, I love them too.
You describe it so well.

Thank you so much Becca, I love writing, the words just flow. when I finish I reread it, but I don't think when I do it, I just feel.
Thank you so much!❤️
Hey, I like these songs! A lot! Fun to come across these.
Sunshine is a medicine that can cure many ills, I think. Ask any office worker how they feel when finally emerging from their cold enclosure and into a sun-filled lunch hour and they will admit they immediately feel better. Happens to me, too!
Oh hello there, so nice of you to drop in. Thank you.
You're so right, that feeling of sunshine on the skin, just the light itself, is transformational. I'm lucky to have big picture-windows in my workplace that look out onto a garden and I can work and see that lush green natural space, but getting out there and breathing fresh air, the sun on my skin, is so lovely. I usually eat my lunch out there, weather permitting, and am often reluctant to go back to work.
Thank you for coming by and I'm glad you liked these songs, they seemed appropriate for the sunny mood I was in.
Have a nice week.

Yeah, I haven't been about/aboot much lately. Being a parent, f/t job, and trying to start a couple side hustles has consumed my time. Trying to peek back in, at least for TTT. I realised this last week that I need to be looking for the posts that aren't in the Music community.
I do have the same issue when going outside at lunch, either to sit in the back or go for a bike ride. Very difficult to begin to focus on work again afterward.
I understand, you might be terribly busy so I'm just grateful you have the time to come back to me. I hope you find some time for yourself in your day, or at least in the week somewhere; it's very important you know.

I'm envious of people living in colder climates when it comes to their enjoyment of the sun. The warmth it brings is the perfect counterbalance against the cool breeze. In the Philippines, where it is very warm and humid, people avoid the sun because not only does it bring more heat, it also makes us sweat more. Humidity and sweat are a bad mix.
Nice theme and from how you describe things your relationship is full of sunshine and great positivity and happiness, which is so nice to hear and long may it last. Good work with the three tunes centred around sunshine. Actually speaking of sunshine, I have a movie recommendation if you have never seen it. It's called Little Miss Sunshine and it's a great movie and worth checking out if you've never seen it.
Oh thank you so much, it's lovely of you to say. I'll be looking into that movie when I have a chance, I think I've actually heard of it before but I know I've not seen it.
