Often without words
I find music beautiful; it fills me with thoughts and feelings when I need them most, augments my moods and emotions and speaks to me in such lovely words...often without words. One of the best things about music is I can choose what I listen to and when so can match the music to how I may be feeling to feel it deeper, or to sweep those feelings away; it's one of the things I'm able to truly influence in my life, the music I listen to, and I make good use of it.
I also love how words aren't required when it comes to music and the effect can still be so powerful, music itself speaks to a person in ways that words often cannot.
I wrote about how comfortable I am with silence only a few days ago, comfortable without words, and today I thought I'd share some of the music I listen to which has no words, all by the same artist. I have a playlist I put on sometimes when I'm reading or simply sitting and thinking, or not thinking, it's a lovely accompaniment and soundtrack of life. I find this music immersive and through it I find places within me that might elude me otherwise.
I truly identify with you on this, music does really have a calming and positive effect on one. I personally listen to cool beats and it does give me peace when I want to shut out everything else, and then as a writer, listening to music inspires me alot and takes away writer's block
I like to listen more deeply into the music and I find great inspiration there also; I don't write much but it makes me feel good.

Instrumental music is the one I like the most, all day long I have this kind of music, it inspires me to write, to design or just to think. The silence, the lack of external words makes the inner words flow and with this kind of music even more.

I agree with you, although I'd not say I like it the most, just that there's a time for it, when words seem out of place, and it's then I turn to instrumental music of many different varieties.

Thanks for sharing these, they are wonderful. When I listen to new music, melody and tune are some of the important things to get me hooked. The lyrics are also important, but I've had music where I fell in love with it without understanding the words. A lot of anime music is like this for me. Violin sounds almost always get me, even if they are just in the intro. Music without words, is really helpful when I want to think.
