Yo folks
this is a song i wrote last year when i was feeling down in the dumps
i chose it today because Ive got this chesty cough that I havn't been able to shake
and I figured the croak might add to the bluesy nature of the song
I tried to do a couple more takes but I kept getting the lyrics wrong and Im a bit low (not quite as low as can be) on vocal stamina at the moment so your stuck with the very first take!

i guess it depicts the slightly self destructive impulses i can have when Im feeling down. I can be filled with foolish pride and self pity sometimes. Thankfully these times always pass (so far!)

The lyrics of this song are like a cry of despair and relief. It is a powerful and moving description of the state of mind of a person who is at the lowest point in his life. I congratulate you for such an excellent performance brother. You're great.

oh thanks man! I was getting pretty ill and then it just got worse and lasted for weeks. My throat is always the last to feel better but this week Ive started feeling more like I might be able to sing again
