You.
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
You are different for a reason, and that's enough to make you smile. If people say you are weird, then stay happily weird. Change whatever word they use on you into positive words, think it, and do it because people are just people, and they are good at talking, which is why their words shouldn't get to you.
I know it is hard to take some things in especially when people who "think" they know you because they were fortunate I'd call it to know or see where you from and about your childhood speak negatively to you. It is sure hard to take in when they rub peppered ginger on your wound when all you just want is to truly heal, and this is why you shouldn't let them get to you. They are cowards who have seen some honorable potential in you and are afraid to worship you, so they talk to you unfairly.
With this, they hope that their words get you and break you into tiny pieces and this... you must not give to them. Do not let them have that satisfaction and use whichever word used against you as a drive to accomplish something great in life. Look at things differently and watch the transformation you are going to bring to the world.
Therefore, with today being a celebration day and music day for me, I have decided to bring in an African Nigerian singer to the musical hall to give us the right rhythm to explore today's sweetness.
Remember that "Everywhere" you go, there's a beauty that only "You" have the power to take charge of. Therefore, "Hold" yourself in high esteem as you are more than special.
Now, let's get to meet today's celebrant before going straight to her musical world.
Meet Her.
Olasunkanmi Rehanat Alonge, better known by her stage name "Sunkanmi," is a Nigerian songwriter and singer. She was born in Lagos State, Nigeria, in the month of June 2nd, 1987, which makes today an epic day for her and for "You" as well if you truly believe today is worth celebrating.
Everywhere; Sunkanmi.
Move your shoulders to the musical beat before whining your waist. Nod your head and dance right to the dance hall.
You; Sunkanmi.
Whatever you do or wherever you find yourself, just know that you matter. Take care of yourself and feed your mind with good thoughts and words as well.
Move your legs left and right and roll your hands as your body moves alongside it.
Hold Me; Sunkanmi.
There's absolutely no one that can hold you tightly except you. So, embrace yourself and never let go.
All videos used were gotten from #YouTube.
Still yours truly,
Balikis.
Thanks for reading and listening.
Peace be unto those who crave it and more to those who chase it away.
I liked this post, I haven't listened to the videos yet but I felt like commenting on something. In the cases of those people who like to do harm, all I can say is that what speaks of us are our actions, not what others say about us. I also liked the quote, sometimes we need to look at ourselves better and love ourselves.
Un abrazo, now I'm going to get the music....
Yes, what speak for us is our actions, and this is why we shouldn't be easily swayed by people's words because the moment they find out, it becomes their weapon.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and I do hope you've been well.
All good, Have a great week @balikis95
