I woke up to sad news today, and I was deeply touched by the scene pictured. Not because of what I read but because of the memories the person has left in my life. He was a well-known Nigerian actor who had made childhood fun for his viewers. Seeing this, I was sad. I kept thinking about the life he lived and how his movies made my day, and I didn't know when a smile found its way on my lips. A scene in one of his movies struck my mind, and I couldn't help the flow of happiness in me.

It was then I told myself being sad is not going to bring him back. Instead of being sad about his death and worrying myself, treasuring the memories I have of him became my new goal. And with that, I was content.

There's always a need for a smile or happiness in the midst of burden. Sometimes, we need to be calm to pass a storm because that's exactly how to live. And other times, we just have to let it out. Today is already a beautiful day, and only you can make it shine brighter.
