Greetings Hive Music Lovers!

Here I am with last week's surprise because I got a surprise myself and it was... Just get the gist here.

In today's tune, I have a question for Ya!

"Can you meet me at the bottom of the stairs where we'd whisper sweet jargon to each other only to make you smile(Feyin)? Never say it can't happen especially when I am a joker".

Before I move to today's tune, I welcome you to another edition of #threetunestuesday proudly sponsored by @ablaze.

In today's tune, I have brought my promise to fulfillment with another African Nigerian musician who will make you go, Gaga.

I stated last week that I have a surprise for today's tune and... Hehe, it is one of the most beautiful African music and it is evergreen.

I know you will scream if you are an African, especially a Nigerian born 2-3 decades ago for I have brought in a legend to get your tongue creamed and ready to lick. Haha.

Shall we begin;

Bisade Ologunde popularly known as Lágbájà, is a Nigerian afrobeat musician, singer-songwriter, and percussionist. He was born in 1960 and is widely known for using a mask that covers his identity. He believes in social reform through music.

Now that we know a little about our spotlight artist for today's tune, it is right for me to take you on a journey to real music life where the traditional usage of instruments and dance steps makes your eyes water.

I hope you are ready to dance because you do not need your shoes for this music. Dancing barefoot works better. Get yourself ready as we tune in to the First… The Second… And The Third tune for today.

Never Far Away; Lagbaja.

Where are you? Hehe. Can you feel the tap of the beat at the start while the voice goes on a dialogue? Cos I can!

This is why we need to move our bodies in a gentle tone. Sway your body like you are dancing ballet and let the music sink into your soul. Feel it. Embrace it wherever you are! Don't be far away.

The music, Never Faraway, was sung by Lagbaja in the year 2020.

Konkon Below; Lagbaja.

Under!!!! Haha... This tune did start with some crazy leg over. And you don't need to think much just follow the beat and have fun till the very end.

Konkon, just like the sound of a heel... Hehe..

The music, Konkon Below, was sung by Lagbaja in the year 2000.

Feyin E(Shine your teeth); Lagbaja.

Can you do me a favor? I need you to put on the largest smile to dance right now.

Just move your legs left and right with a smile and dance all around. Don't stop because it is time to have fun. Haha.

Stop thinking no matter what comes your way and just feyin(Smile, laugh) haha.

The music, Feyin, was sung by Lagbaja in the year 2000.

I hope you had fun listening in as the music did take me back memory lane. And for y'all that are new to this, let me know your thoughts.

Still yours truly,
Balikis.

Thanks for reading and listening.

All videos used were from #Youtube.

Peace be unto those who crave it and more to those who chase it away.

Lagbaja was one of my favourite artistes of the early 2000's. Konko below was the hottest sing of 2001. It had my mum and aunties-in-law twerking. That strong was a pandemic. I remember so vividly.

The music masquerade also had a beautiful chemistry with Ego and they realised one of my favourite strong of all time.

Nice piece.

I am glad he was. Yes, konkon below was a hit. Geez! Haha leave those innocent fun people to twerk jhoor. It is not easy abeg.

Yes, it does. That's what differentiates antique music and modern ones. Thanks for stopping by.

Lagbaja has been one of my favourite afro musicians and has also been a mentor saxophonist with vast knowledge of its applications to most genres. Your Penwortham on him is such an intruiging and captivating one.

I remember those days when we will wear agbada and bend our backs back and forth along with side twisting our waist to dance kokon below, especially the talking drum, Sada patu patu as in.
