Jingle Bells

In 1857, the American James Pierpont received the copyright to the song "Jingle Bells". At first, the song was called "In an open sleigh".

Pierpont himself was a cavalryman, but he loved to write funny songs.

This song was the first to be heard from space. American astronauts sang it on Christmas Day, 1965.

Recently, a historian at Boston University But Hamill published her research that the song "Jingle Bells" has Russian roots, so who knows if it will remain the main song of American Christmas in the future.
