Who cares?
We live in a world where most people care after themselves, most especially what goes into their stomach as food and others which goes into their pockets and bank accounts as money. This is one of the reasons it is difficult in today's world to see a man in a position of power who truly expresses his love for the people by providing them the basic things they need for their livelihood. A lot of rich people today, most especially corrupt politicians, some influential Men and women and those in different positions of power tend to win people's hearts by publicly expressing their interest in helping create a better society and easing the challenges people are facing.
In other words, it shows that they have the interest of the people in mind, they may have made contact with several indigenous people or possibly might have grown from a certain background which helped expose them to the situation of their area and must have over time heard of the major challenges people are facing. The truth is that the majority of people who seek to attain higher positions in our society today are still using the same method and it still works. This shows that people love what is good because their hearts can never stop yearning for what seems right.
Some people even had to pay with their blood hoping to get the right person in that good position to change things but yet they still failed. It's very sad I had to grow up in a country where you really have to be strong or smart to survive. A country that has most of what it takes to make lives better for her own people but doesn't.
From the time I was little to the time I got older and started picking interest a little in politics, I found out that most of the politicians who always end up winning the people's hearts to enter into their desired positions of power almost always use the same strategy.
Can you imagine a country where some months or weeks to election day, different parties will rally around different communities and roads and be sharing money, sometimes even the money they share is not even enough to feed a person for a week. During the time of such sharing of money there are many who will get involved in physical fights with each other dragging for positions as the case may be because most times people are asked to be in line.
Sometimes many injure themselves by sustaining injuries which the amount of money they'll receive can't even take care of. In the worst case scenario some lose their lives.
The terrible thing is that back in the days people were given that little money as a token to buy their hearts and votes and it worked. I noticed that people who mostly use this strategy are mostly the ones who end up not doing anything for the people most times identified as leaders who embezzle money.
I later got to a point when It appeared that the people had learnt the trick and became wiser, politicians now learnt of cruel ways which seem legal in order to knock out their opponents and put themselves in office.
The worst that happened previously is the one who was clearly not voted for by the people, the man who even lost votes in his own state and couldn't win in most states but somehow surprise! surprise! He entered the government house as the president of the country. The more painful part of it are those who were killed during the times of protest, even in the time of voting and other exercises. The smart ones know just not to risk their lives voting since you could be killed even in front of any man in a law enforcement uniform and your people can't even win a court case if it is filed or any condolences messages.
It's really amazing knowing a lot is going on in this world today but we're living our lives irrespective of the motives of those who twist our world.
Thanks for stopping by to read my post.
Many are going through a lot, and the greediness of man never allows those in position to help them through. Thank you so sharing this @baby1
