God's plan

Usually when there is a new year, most people find new hope believing that the year will come with prosperity and goodness unlike the previous year. It may not actually be the case for most people but I find myself among the ones who happen to believe that each new year comes with its own blessings and achievements. It also comes with a price to pay in order to achieve anything. Last night I had the opportunity to go out with a friend of mine who happened to be my childhood friend. While in his car we talked about the city life and every other thing that could cross our mind soon after he turned up the volume of a song “God's plan” by Drake.
I had more time meditating on the song lyrics in the moment of silence till we got to the area where we encountered a little traffic and had to shout at the man who was blocking the road to clear his vehicle. When the driver drove his vehicle to allow the free flow of traffic, we proceeded on our movement to a place that appeared to be a good looking restaurant. Inside of it, there seemed to be a lot of celebration going on on different tables. I was surprised to know some groups of families and friends are still catching up and celebrating the new year in their own way.

We really did talk very well, once in a while there will be a shout of celebration as though someone is throwing a party and it will draw our attention to look in their direction. It was really a pleasant night and we talked about many things including business. I'm glad he's soon to start a business of his own but I had to sympathize with him when he shared a little of the challenges he's facing in his family especially as it concerns his wife's behavior. Stories of everything going on in his family makes me start to wonder why some people may be blessed in all things but one thing or someone can come up to be their issue.
I took all the time I could to encourage him to never give up on his wife and children due to his wife's childish behavior. Just then while I was still talking to him, another wave of laughter erupted from behind me as I was facing in the opposite direction.

As I noticed the attention of my friend was more drawn to the area, I looked behind me and saw some good looking ladies and gentlemen sitting around a circular center table. Soon after I stay focused and we talked a little I saw people from my front view looking behind me with cheerful faces and some pulling out their phones to focus its camera and flashlight in my direction but I was clearly not the target, so I looked behind and I saw a man on his knee with his hand raised to towards a tall good looking woman. Not long after she accepted the ring there was so much celebration, joy and cheerful expressions in the restaurant.

Just then I silently said to myself, this year will be more of celebration than of tears. It's really one the best nights I've had so far.
