The void for new music
I am pretty sure that at one point or the other, we have all felt the need for change. Maybe a change of clothing, changing our shoes, changing our mindsets about something after realizing what we thought was right was actually wrong, or Change after we see something that we prefer. All very valid reasons for changing, but then there are times when there is nothing wrong at all, no issue, but we just want to change something. I remember a while ago I was speaking to a friend of mine and she said she wanted to change her device. I asked what was wrong with the one she was using and she said nothing, she was just tired of that particular brand because she had been using it for a relatively long time. Funny enough it was a similar device to the device I'm using right now and I'm enjoying it.
I didn't understand how she felt about changing her device not even a bit, but I didn't say anything about it and kept it to myself. The day before yesterday, however, I was scrolling through Spotify and after listening to some of the songs in my playlist I got tired. I'd been listening to them over and over for a while now. All through last year if my memory serves me right. Although I've been adding a few songs to the list occasionally the rate at which I added was nowhere near the rate at which I listen to music. At this point, I was already tired of listening to them, and that was when I started to understand how my friend felt. The songs are still beautiful and pleasant to my ears, but it just gets boring when you keep on listening to the same songs over and over again.
And so since then, I have been in search of new music that I'll like. Unfortunately, it has been to no avail for whatever reason. Maybe I'm just not searching hard enough, or maybe I'm just too used to my old set of songs to adapt, I don't know. In order not to listen to the same songs like 20 times a day I have had to go back to the previous songs that I stopped listening to without reason but are still nice. I like them, but I don't know, I'm just looking for something fresh. Something that gives me goosebumps.
Ok, so what is your business with all my incessant ramblings about lacking songs to listen to? I am glad I asked through you. Well, I want you to share with me some of your favourite songs at the moment with me in the comment section. I'd really appreciate it. May tip you if I really love your song recommendation. So what are you waiting for, Please recommend me some songs. It could be fun. Help me fill this void for new music.

Recently I’ve been listening to “The Angry African” EP by Worlasi from Ghana and a Chinese electronic pop band whose name is Chinese but in English uses the name floruitshow

Hello man, thank you so much for the song recommendations, I'll be sure to check them out. They look quite exotic 😁.
also, sorry for the super late reply. Spent the entire next day doing 1k threads and got burnt out in the process. I feel better now though. Also Merry Christmas

I feel I’m in the same boat with you.😂 I’m just going to delete all my music and start afresh again cos I feel fed up of all the songs I have now.
I would recommend you listen to music from Kodaline. They’re really good.🫡
haha, I don't think I have the heart to stop listening to my usuals. I don't store songs on my phone (i use spotify), so I'm always tempted to just go back to them whenever I am not really enjoying a new song
I get that. You can also check out new songs on Spotify.😅
