Songs About Jane: Maroon 5's Debut
Maroon 5 released their debut album "Songs About Jane" in 2002 but it took a while until it gained momentum in 2004. The album eventually led Maroon 5 to international stardom, making them one of the top bands since 2000.
"Songs About Jane" was led by the rock track "Harder to Breathe". Despite being released in 2002, it received attention in 2003 that it reached number 18 in Billboard Hot 100, while it became a top 5 Mainstream chart hit. In UK, it was a number 13 hit single.

The band achieved more success, and their debut album began to be picked up from stores since the success of their single "This Love", which was a worldwide top 10 hit. In Billboard Hot 100, it reached number 5, while it reached the top of Mainstream chart. It was successful in UK where it became a top 3 hit.
The success of "This Love" was succeeded by "She Will Be Loved", which also helped with the popularity of the album. The single became a number 5 hit in Billboard Hot 100 again, with a number 1 peak in Mainstream chart, their second to do so. It was a number 4 success in UK Singles Chart.

Maroon 5 released "Sunday Morning" as the fourth single, which has soul on it. It was a moderate hit reaching number 31 in Billboard Hot 100, and 27 in UK Singles Chart. The final single "Must Get Out" was released in Europe, and it reached number 39 in UK.

"Songs About Jane" became one of the biggest sellers of 2004, by which in UK, it was 7x platinum. In United States, it has sold more than 5 million copies.
