I was hurt, and I may wanted to speak up but I don't want to hurt them either. I treated them like family, but I'm not sure if I'm the same to them. They talk as if I am family, that's true, but words are different from actions. New close friends are expected to complement, but they became replacements of you.
Hence, I limited my time spent with them. They're still my friends even I'm not sure if they're in the "close" ones category. It's my way of protecting myself from being taken for granted. Protect your peace too like I did.
