Flooded Cities, Tune of the Day - I Want to Know What Love Is
My friend has been sharing photos of extreme floods in their city. Even city areas are getting flooded badly. Naga City (in Camarines Sur) was badly flooded almost a month ago. This time it's Tuguegarao City. Even Valencia City in Spain was badly flooded, which even led people confronting rulers there.
Here are my entries for black and white photography this Thursday.
Tune of the Day
My chosen tune of the day is the song "I Want to Know What Love Is". It's been stuck in my head after hearing the version of a Filipino singer. The song actually had a lot of version. Of course, the original artist of the song is the band Foreigner which became a global hit even reaching number 1 including the US and UK.
Australian singer Tina Arena also covered the song, and produced by Foreigner member who wrote the song. It became a top 50 hit in Europe, and a number 36 hit in Australia. It also received heavy airplay in Asia.
Country singer Wynonna Judd also released her own version of the song, which became a top 15 hit in Adult contemporary charts.
While, Filipina superstar Sarah Geronimo released her own version of "I Want to Know What Love Is" which became a radio hit, and a chart topper in Philippine music channel MYX.
And finally, music superstar Mariah Carey released her own version of the song from her album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel". It was a top 20 hit in UK, while settling at number 60 in Billboard Hot 100.
