Just like One Direction, Little Mix was formed through X-Factor UK, and the members auditioned as individual artists. However, One Direction isn't the winner, taking the third place while Little Mix was the big winner.

Finally, Little Mix had their own spot in music industry with the release of their debut album "DNA". Before the album's release, they released the single "Cannonball" as the winner's single at X-Factor UK. It wasn't added on their debut album though despite making it to UK number 1.

"Wings", a pop R&B track, became the lead single off "DNA". It became a number 1 hit in UK Singles Chart, and went platinum in the country. In Billboard Hot 100, it became their first American entry reaching number 79.

The title track "DNA" was the second single, and it received mixed reviews. Still, it reached number 3 in UK Singles Chart, though it only charted at number 14 of Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles in the US. It was certified Gold Record in the UK.

"Change Your Life" was the third single, and surprisingly failed to enter the top 10 of UK Singles Chart, where it reached number 12. The final single was "How Ya Doin'?" which featured Missy Elliott. It performed moderately too teaching number 16 in UK. Just like "Change Your Life", it was also a Silver Record.

"DNA" made a debut at UK Albums Chart at number 3, which was also its peak. It was certified platinum in the country. In the US, it reached number 4.
