En el año 1991, recuerdo, me hice muy pero muy fan de la banda de rock Rata Blanca, los escuchaba en la radio y mucho. Entonces mi madre para mi cumpleaños, y a pesar de los pocos recursos económicos que había, me compró el cassette original de ellos junto a al aparato para poder escucharlos. Me pasaba horas y horas escuchándolos, no sé cómo no se rompió.

Luego me compre un poster de ellos, del grupo y lo tenía siempre a la vista. No podía comprar muchas cosas, pero su música siempre estaba conmigo.

Este video que les traigo es de la primera canción que escuché de Rata Blanca, pero sinceramente es muy malo en calidad, no lo han mejorado, por ello les dejo uno que ellos filmaron en un recital en vivo, donde se escucha un poco mejor la canción. Lo bueno de todo es que aún ellos siguen cantando y eso me llena de nostalgia.

In 1991, I remember becoming a huge fan of the rock band Rata Blanca. I listened to them a lot on the radio. Then, for my birthday, despite her limited financial resources, my mother bought me their original cassette tape along with a tape player so I could listen to them. I spent hours and hours listening to them; I don't know how it didn't break.

Later, I bought a poster of the band and kept it in plain sight. I couldn't buy many things, but their music was always with me.

This video I'm sharing with you is of the first song I heard by Rata Blanca, but honestly, the quality is very poor. They haven't improved it, so I'm leaving you with one they filmed at a live concert, where the song sounds a little better. The good thing is that they're still singing, and that fills me with nostalgia.

La segunda banda de rock, también argentina, que me apasionaba y que escuchaba mucho era Soda Stereo. Tanto sus letras como los videos musicales me encantan y fueron muy famosos por lo menos en mi país de origen. En muchas de sus canciones hablaban de la realidad, de la verdad, pero camuflajeada por ejemplo detrás de una historia de amor.

Este video que les traigo es mi favorito de la banda, donde habla de la cúpula, de las altas esferas, de la sangre y de muchas otras cosas. Los invito a escuchar detenidamente la letra, es muy interesante.

The second rock band, also from Argentina, that I loved and listened to a lot was Soda Stereo. I love both their lyrics and their music videos, and they were very famous, at least in my home country. Many of their songs talked about reality and truth, but camouflaged behind a love story, for example.

Finalmente les traigo un grupo que seguramente es conocido por todos, porque su fama internacional los precede y hablo de la banda Queen. Hoy recuerdo, en este momento, la noticia del fallecimiento de Freddie Mercury la tristeza que me causó. Él llevo su enfermedad de una manera asombrosa, trabajando sin descanso hasta el último minuto. Creo que amaba tanto lo que hacía que sentía que debía hacerlo hasta el último suspiro.

Todas sus canciones me gustan, todas, y sus videos también, no puedo traerlos a todos, pero elegí dos de ellos. El primero por la fuerza y la intensidad de la canción y por lo motivadora de la letra, impulsa siempre a seguir adelante. Ese tren que rompe las barreras y me encanta como fue realizado el mismo.

En el segundo caso ya Freddie estaba muy enfermo y tuvo que usar mucho maquillaje, se nota en el video, supongo que para ocultar lo que la enfermedad le hacía. Me gusta mucho la realización de este video en blanco y negro y como se ha caracterizado Freddie, además de una letra fantástica… ¿será que estoy loca también?

I like all of his songs, all of them, and his videos too. I can't bring them all, but I chose two of them. The first one for the power and intensity of the song and for the motivating lyrics, which always encourage you to keep going. That train that breaks down barriers, and I love how it was done.

In the second case, Freddie was already very ill and had to wear a lot of make-up, which is noticeable in the video, I suppose to hide what the disease was doing to him. I really like the black and white production of this video and how Freddie is portrayed, as well as the fantastic lyrics... Am I crazy too?
