Ami Kim es Drummer Ami y cuando la vi tocar no podía creer lo que estaba viendo, me dije a mi misma: Es una genia. A veces pasa que me recomiendan música o el mismo YouTube me sugiere algo, pero pocas veces me sorprendo y esta vez me pasó.

El primer video de ella que les traigo fue el primero que vi y esta interpretación me pareció excelente. Además, la canción es una de mis favoritas de aquella época. Es innumerable la cantidad de veces que habré escuchado The Final Countdown y como Ami lo complementa con esa batería es maravilloso.

Me llamó la atención sobre todo que la batería es enorme con muchísimas piezas y lo primero que pensé es… la usa por completo, toca todos los platillos, es asombroso.

Por otro lado, veo que disfruta y ama lo que hace, toca con el alma y eso se nota, como si lo llevara en la sangre. Debe tomar mucho pero mucho tiempo lograr interpretar canciones así y estar en perfecta sincronía con la música original de fondo, mucha práctica, durante mucho tiempo. Por lo que veo dedicación, trabajo, constancia y amor por lo que hace. Eso es lo que hace que una persona vaya encaminada al éxito.

Ami Kim is Drummer Ami and when I saw her play I couldn't believe what I was seeing, I said to myself: She's a genius. Sometimes it happens that they recommend me music or YouTube itself suggests me something, but I'm rarely surprised and this time it happened to me.

The first video of her that I bring you was the first one I saw and I thought this performance was excellent. Besides, the song is one of my favourites from that time. I can't count the number of times I've heard The Final Countdown and the way Ami complements it with those drums is marvellous.

I was especially struck by the fact that the drums are huge with so many parts and the first thing I thought is... he uses all the drums, he plays all the cymbals, it's amazing.

On the other hand, I see that he enjoys and loves what he does, he plays with his soul and it shows, as if it was in his blood. It must take a long, long time to be able to play songs like that and be in perfect sync with the original background music, a lot of practice, for a long time. As far as I can see, dedication, hard work, perseverance and love for what he does. That's what sets a person on the road to success.

Por supuesto no me podía quedar con esa sola canción, seguí buscando más de ella, me fui a su canal oficial que esta verificado y encontré canciones que siempre me han gustado interpretadas por ella, todas espectaculares.

Mirando más en el canal de Ami veo que tiene muchísimos seguidores y bien merecidos por tan arduo trabajo y talento y además tiene muchos videos, más de 600 y sumando. Una gran artista que revive muchas canciones de otra época y eso me encanta. Viejas canciones con su propio estilo, uno asombroso.

Me sorprendió verla tocar la batería vistiendo vestidos y no sólo eso sino con tacones altos y tan finos, la miraba y pensaba como podía hacerlo que hace. Impresionante.

Por supuesto tenía que traer una canción de Queen y otra que me encanta, Survivor. Una artista coreana que hace que la batería cobre vida y mucha vida.

Of course I couldn't stay with just that one song, I kept looking for more of her, I went to her official channel which is verified and I found songs that I have always liked performed by her, all of them spectacular.

Looking more at Ami's channel I see that she has a lot of followers and well deserved for her hard work and talent and she also has many videos, more than 600 and counting. A great artist who revives many songs from another era and I love that. Old songs with her own style, an amazing one.

I was amazed to see her playing the drums wearing dresses and not only that but with high heels and so thin, I looked at her and thought how can she do what she does. Impressive.

Of course I had to bring a Queen song and another one I love, Survivor. A Korean artist who makes the drums come alive and come alive.

Luego también les traigo una canción de Metallica que seguro todos aquellos a los que les gusta el rock la reconocerán. Como les digo no es que ahora mismo yo sea fan del rock, pero en su momento me gustaba y estas canciones están en mi recuerdo. Me encanta que Ami las traiga de esta manera, tan bien interpretadas. Una genia verla tocar.

Otra cosa que me fascino es como hace vibrar los palillos en sus manos, cuanta agilidad, realmente admirable y vuelvo a resaltar el tema de los tacones. Ni yo puedo caminar con ellos, admiro que ella pueda tocar la batería así, elegante, profesional, talentosa y feliz de hacer lo que más le gusta.

Then I also bring you a Metallica song that I'm sure all those who like rock will recognise. As I say, I'm not a fan of rock right now, but at the time I liked it and these songs are in my memory. I love that Ami brings them back in this way, so well interpreted. It's great to see her play.

Another thing that fascinated me is how she vibrates the sticks in her hands, how much agility, really admirable and again I emphasize the theme of the heels. I can't even walk in them, I admire that she can play the drums like that, elegant, professional, talented and happy to do what she loves the most.
