The world today moves at a very fast pace; the pace of everything we do is very hectic, often leading to stress, anxiety, and both physical and mental exhaustion. We often need those moments of calm and relaxation – something to clear our minds and allow us to think of nothing, so that we can then recharge our batteries.
El mundo hoy se mueve muy a prisa, los ritmos en todo lo que hacemos son muy acelerados, produciendo en muchos casos estrés, estados nerviosos, agotamiento tanto físico como mental y muchas veces necesitamos esos momentos de calma, de relajación, algo que nos libere la mente y nos haga no pensar en nada para poder retomar luego energías.

También hay personas que por el ajetreo de la vida diaria o con motivo de problemas de la vida no pueden conciliar el sueño, no se descansa como el cuerpo necesita o se sufre de insomnio. Eso hace que luego el día a día sea más complicado de lo normal. Yo misma tuve una época en donde me costaba mucho dormir, me levantaba y daba vueltas, sintiéndome al otro día muy mal y cada vez peor.
Muchas veces los problemas atormentan, en otros casos hay mucha tristeza o hasta depresión y lo más común es el no poder desconectar de las cosas que pasan en el día y tomarnos un tiempo para nosotros mismo y poder relajar la mente. En mi caso me ayuda mucho caminar, sobre todo en la naturaleza. Pero muchas otras veces no puedo salir a caminar y hay música y sonidos que me ayudan tanto a relajarme como a dormir.
There are also people who, due to the hustle and bustle of daily life or because of life’s problems, cannot fall asleep, do not get the rest their body needs, or suffer from insomnia. This then makes day to day life more difficult than usual. I myself went through a period where I found it very hard to sleep; I would get up and toss and turn, feeling terrible the next day and getting worse and worse.
Often, problems weigh heavily on our minds; in other cases, there is a great deal of sadness or even depression; and the most common issue is not being able to switch off from the day’s events, take some time for ourselves and relax our minds. In my case, going for a walk helps me a lot, especially in nature. But on many other occasions, I can’t go out for a walk, and there are certain pieces of music and sounds that help me both to relax and to sleep.

Los canales que les traigo el día de hoy, son canales cuyo contenido consumo muchísimo, todos los días. He hecho siempre los tengo de fondo sonando en mi computadora, aunque sea a un nivel muy bajo, porque la música llega al cerebro, aunque parezca que los oídos no escuchan. The channels I’m sharing with you today are ones whose content I consume a great deal of, every single day. I always have them playing in the background on my computer, even if the volume is very low, because the music reaches the brain, even if it seems as though your ears aren’t hearing it. There are even channels featuring vibrations, different levels of vibration, that help you sleep. I’ve tried them and they’ve worked perfectly for me.
There are many such channels that I listen to, and they vary in style, but I’ll tell you about some of them and I hope they’ll help more people. I’m sharing a video from each channel as a recommendation, but there are loads of videos on each of them; some of these channels even belong to composers of relaxation music, who create the music themselves and then make the videos.

Pero mientras escuchan alguno de estos videos que les traigo, les cuento una anécdota. Creo que lo que más tiene valor, respecto de las reseñas que realizamos en la comunidad, son las experiencias personales. Eso hace que cada reseña sea diferente a otra, aun cuando se elija la misma canción o el mismo sonido o música.
Cuando llegué a España estaba sola, complemente sola con mi gata Cata, y por las noches me costaba dormir, estaba a más de 12.000 km del país donde nací, lejos de mi familia, amiga, conocidos. No me había ambientado a los ruidos o sonidos del nuevo lugar y conciliar el sueño era muy complicado, como si estuviera siempre en estado de alerta.
Y fue allí donde comencé a escuchar videos de YouTube que me ayudaran. En este momento, luego de ocho años no recuerdo el canal específico que escuchaba, pero tenía sonidos de agua, lluvia y mar. El agua para mí es relajante en todas sus formas, es vida, pero al mismo tiempo da energía y siempre me han gustado los días de lluvia y aún los de tormentas. El sonido de mar, por otra parte, me resulta muy relajante, por lo que les traigo un ejemplo de uno de los videos que uso para dormir.
But whilst you’re listening to some of these videos I’ve brought you, let me tell you a little story. I think what’s most valuable about the reviews we do in the community are the personal experiences. That’s what makes each review different from the next, even when we choose the same song, sound or piece of music.
When I arrived in Spain, I was on my own, completely on my own with my cat, Cata, and at night I found it hard to sleep. I was more than 12,000 km away from the country where I was born, far from my family, friends and acquaintances. I hadn’t got used to the noises and sounds of my new surroundings, and falling asleep was very difficult, as if I were constantly on high alert.
And that’s when I started listening to YouTube videos to help me. Now, eight years on, I can’t remember the specific channel I used to listen to, but it featured the sounds of water, rain and the sea. For me, water is relaxing in all its forms; it’s life, but at the same time it gives me energy, and I’ve always loved rainy days and even stormy ones. The sound of the sea, on the other hand, I find very soothing, so here’s an example of one of the videos I use to help me sleep.

But I’d also like to share a channel with you that I use a lot, especially when I’m writing. It also features the sound of water, but combined with very gentle music, as I mentioned earlier, composed by the channel’s creator himself. It features beautifully designed water fountains accompanied by inspiring music. Some of the videos are streamed live, so they don’t have a set duration, which is brilliant for me.
The next channel is all about Reiki music, and I can assure you that I’ve had a brilliant night’s sleep listening to this sort of music. Not only that, but when I meditate, it really helps me because of the kind of vibrations and sounds it uses. It’s absolutely relaxing and clears the mind.

Muchas gracias por esta recomendación, me gusta mucho este tipo de canales porque de verdad ayudan mucho con la relajación, tal vez la sucesión de sonidos, la frecuencia, sobre todo esos sonidos que provienen de la naturaleza, de verdad aprecio ese tipo de contenido.
