Esta iniciativa me motivó totalmente a unirme a esta comunidad, porque como buen melómano y amante de la música, hablar de los vídeos musicales es mi cosa favorita en este mundo. A continuación les presento mis 5 videos favoritos, algunos de todos los tiempos, algunos del momento, pero todos los amo con mi corazón. Eso sí, les quiero aclarar que no tiene un orden particular.

This initiative totally motivated me to join this community, because as a good music lover and music lover, talking about music videos is my favorite thing in this world. Here are my 5 favorite videos, some of all time, some of the moment, but all of them I love with my heart. Of course, I want to clarify that they are in no particular order.
Si hay algo que define a Bad Romance de Lady Gaga es, y cito a Billboard, "Video del Siglo", un título que le sienta a la perfección. Decir que este es mi video musical favorito en toda la historia es quedarme corto, lo tengo tatuado en mi cabeza y me sé cada segundo de él. Dirigido por Francis Lawrence, Lady Gaga salió de un ataúd para hacer historia y darnos lo que es, al día de hoy, uno de los mejores videos musicales y un evento en la cultura pop, y no está en discusión.
De verdad que recuerdo ser un niñito de unos 10 años y pararme frente al espejo hasta aprenderme la coreografía, ¡y todavía me la sé! Desde entonces admiro con mi vida a Lady Gaga y algunos aquí en Hive me conocen como Archi Gaga, jajaja. Abajo les dejo la fuente para que puedan checar la lista, pero, sepan que no es mi video favorito por esa lista.
If there is one thing that defines Lady Gaga's Bad Romance it is, and I quote Billboard, "Video of the Century", a title that fits it perfectly. To say that this is my favorite music video in all of history is an understatement, I have it tattooed in my head and I know every second of it. Directed by Francis Lawrence, Lady Gaga came out of a coffin to make history and give us what is, to this day, one of the best music videos and an event in pop culture, and it's not up for debate.
I really remember being a little boy of about 10 years old and standing in front of the mirror until I learned the choreography, and I still know it! Since then I admire Lady Gaga with my life and some people here at Hive know me as Archi Gaga, hahaha. Below I leave you the source so you can check the list, but, know that it's not my favorite video because of that list.
Y hablando de la realeza del pop, nos encontramos con, ni más ni menos, Smooth Criminal y el popular Annie, are you okay? que nos trajo un video musical histórico. Sí, los vídeos de Michael Jackson son largos, pero también cuentan una gran historia, y nos da grandes coreografias. Si hay algo que admiro de MJ es su capacidad de SERVIRNOS coreografía, performance, vestuarios, y claro, buena música.
Comparto este gusto con mi pareja y por eso lo incluí, la verdad es un vídeo que, a pesar de que no veo mucho, lo disfruto muchísimo cada vez. Michael Jackson sin duda sigue siendo el rey del pop.
And speaking of pop royalty, we find ourselves with, no more and no less, Smooth Criminal and the popular Annie, are you okay? which brought us a historic music video. Yes, Michael Jackson's videos are long, but they also tell a great story, and he gives us great choreography. If there's one thing I admire about MJ, it's his ability to SERVE us with choreography, performance, costumes, and of course, great music.
I share this taste with my partner and that's why I included it, the truth is a video that, even though I don't watch much, I enjoy it very much every time. Michael Jackson is undoubtedly still the king of pop.
¿Inesperado en MÍ lista? Sí. Sin embargo, tengo una obsesión con esta canción, igual que en mis años de adolescente rockero y rebelde, y estoy VIVIENDO por la canción y el vídeo. Holiday de Green Day es una canción bastante protestante, y el vídeo también lo es, rayando en lo bizarro y grotesco, incluyendo hasta un hombre haciendo travestismo, y AMÓ esa parte, e incluso tiene coreografía en el puente, un plus, está de más decir que amo las coreografias y los bailes.
Aunque la producción deja que desear, es un vídeo al que le tengo mucho aprecio, y entiendo el mensaje, siempre es importante dejar un mensaje mas alla de solo dar un contenido audiovisual.
Unexpected on MY list? Yes. However, I have an obsession with this song, just as I did in my teenage rocker and rebel years, and I am LIVING for the song and the video. Holiday by Green Day is a pretty protest song, and the video is too, bordering on bizarre and grotesque, even including a man doing cross-dressing, and I LOVED that part, and it even has choreography on the bridge, a plus, needless to say I love choreography and dancing.
Although the production leaves something to be desired, it's a video that I have a lot of appreciation for, and I understand the message, it's always important to leave a message beyond just giving audiovisual content.
No podía faltar en mi lista el Titán del Pop, la Miss Americana, la industria musical, la popular Taylor Swift.
Desde luego que este video hizo un antes y un después, tanto para la cultura popular como para mí. Amo con todas mis fuerzas a la Taylor psicótica que le rompe el carro al novio y acuchilla es pastel. La estetica del vídeo se siente tan caótica y al mismo tiempo tan limpia, algo que solo la señorita Swift sabe hacer. Amo este video, es una reina y con esto terminó de formalizarse como una grande del pop y la biblia del pop 1989 pasó a ser importante.
I could not miss in my list the Titan of Pop, the American Miss, the music industry, the popular Taylor Swift.
Of course this video made a before and after, both for popular culture and for me. I love with all my might the psychotic Taylor who breaks the boyfriend's car and slashes is cake. The aesthetic of the video feels so chaotic yet so clean, something only Miss Swift knows how to do. I love this video, she is a queen and with this she finished formalizing herself as a pop great and the pop bible 1989 became important.
Y para cerrar, no podía dejar por fuera a Lana del Rey, madre de Tumblr, madre del alternativo, del Dream Pop, y de la música. El vídeo de Born To Die, con Lana y dos tigres, es demasiado importante, y ojalá más personas lo notaran. La primera vez que lo ví, recuerdo haber pensado que era una cantante latina, y enseguida me enamoré de esa estética de ensueño. La estetica americana, la historia de amor trágico que cuenta, y su belleza etérea y atemporal son indudablemente algo que me marcó para siempre.
Lana no es una artista que me atrape con su videografia, sin embargo, los que tiene que son buenos, SON BUENOS, totalmente atemporales. Es el perfecto cierre para una lista con grandes.
And to close, I couldn't leave out Lana Del Rey, mother of Tumblr, mother of alternative, Dream Pop, and music. The Born To Die video, with Lana and two tigers, is too important, and I wish more people noticed it. The first time I saw it, I remember thinking it was a Latin singer, and immediately falling in love with that dreamy aesthetic. The Americana aesthetic, the tragic love story it tells, and its ethereal, timeless beauty are undoubtedly something that marked me forever.
Lana is not an artist that grabs me with her videography, however, the ones she has that are good, ARE GOOD, totally timeless. It's the perfect closing for a list with greats.
Y así culmina mi lista, espero que esos videos sean de su agrado, es una buena manera de unirme a esta comunidad y estoy feliz de hablar de lo que más me gusta, la música y los vídeos.

The music, lyrics and scenography are spectacular in all of them, Michael's is my favourite, because he is one of my favourite artists, but all of them are spectacular. Michael no pasa de moda, de verdad su discografia y videografia siempre serán un legado eterno para la música pop,y por eso siempre estaremos agradecidos. Sé que todos son videos icónicos, pero los puse tanto por eso por como son los que más me atraen de dichos artistas, y 3 de ellos son mi top 3 de artistas, era imposible no poner su legado en este post.✨
