Today we embark on a new musical journey.
Welcome once again to my music reviews. I've had an album on my mind for all these days, a new and recently released gem that deserves much more recognition and is impossible to overlook, an album that even before it was released had a hit in its repertoire. Let's review and listen together to "Endless Summer Vacation" by Miley Cyrus.
I have felt short of inspiration, that usually happens, either because of low spirits or for different reasons, now, what is my medicine for these moments? A good music album. Luckily for me, a few days ago the artist Miley Cyrus gave us one of the great musical gems of the year, with a diversity of rhythms and sounds that will undoubtedly inspire you.
With seven studio albums behind her, Miley Cyrus continues to grow as an artist and intends to release her eighth. She had a lot to prove, at least for me, since the predecessor of the new album was an unforgettable gem, and when I first heard "Plastic Hearts" back in 2020, a lot of feelings and emotions invaded me, becoming one of my favorites of her entire career. As this era is just beginning, we only have two singles, but it doesn't stop us from reviewing these two songs and the album in general, so prepare a good drink, buy yourself a nice bouquet of flowers and join me in this musical experience with "Endless Summer Vacation " by Miley Cyrus.
Kinda dream that can't be sold
We were right 'til we weren't.
We were all impatient for new music from the singer, longing for at least one forward, and finally on January 12 of this year was released the song that would become a hit of self-love. It was not released on that day just by chance, because it is the birthday of her ex-husband Liam, with whom she had a tumultuous relationship that finally came to an end. The song talks a lot about how she can love herself more than this person, she can buy herself flowers and take herself out dancing, and at the end of the day it's an excellent message, because we don't need anyone but ourselves to receive love, and that's priceless.
As for production, there's not much to say because it's Perfect!, the song is a hit, it's danceable, it's got a good beat and it doesn't leave your head, it's a sound that I certainly hadn't heard before from Miley, but I still love it, something that seems to have happened to everyone, because the song spent six weeks at the top of the most important music charts, proving that even after eight albums, Miley really is still somebody in the industry and has the recognition she deserves.
To hear her is to love her, I'm telling you, Flowers is viral for all the right reasons and we love to see this. Choosing this song as the lead single of the era was a perfect decision, because it put Miley Cyrus on everyone's lips and set us up to receive an album full of artistry from start to finish.
Can you walk me through the park just to show it off?.
Can you make a song with sexy vibes, an iconic video and have it be true art? Miley Cyrus said: yes. This song is a gem, maybe the best song on the album all in all. It has so many layers, it evokes so many feelings, it makes you want to listen to it on repeat, well that's just how it happened to me. She just released it a few days ago as the second single of the era, along with the full album, and I've just had it on repeat ever since.
The song is pretty pop, you can feel the change she had from Flowers, it doesn't sound the same as the other songs, it's almost like it has an 80's-90's vibe but in its own very unique way, very Miley. It has an exquisite production, where maybe she resorted to the use of some sample, because I notice a certain similarity in some song that I can't remember, however she manages to make it hers, it doesn't sound repetitive. The song evolves and the only part that I don't love is the bridge, but it makes up for it with the rest of the song.
The lyrics are almost explicit, although you don't need much more than reading it to know that it talks about sex, that's why she evokes so much sexuality with her voice and the rhythms. The interesting thing is that as the song evolves, at first she talks about this affair almost as something forbidden, like not wanting to fall in love with the person with whom at first she just wanted to have a more casual encounter, however, in the end she is in love and believes that this person may be the one. I can't get the pre-chorus out of my head, I just can't: "Heart beats so loud that is drowning me out".

I loved the album, of that I have no shadow of a doubt, because when you listen to it from start to finish you are stunned by Miley's immense and remarkable musical and vocal evolution over the years. However, it failed to surpass its predecessor, and from the beginning I had that feeling, because the legacy of "Plastic Hearts" would be hard to overshadow. That doesn't take away from the fact that the album is a gem, it's very intelligent, full of beautiful sounds and multiple references that I can't get over. I loved hearing on "You" production references to Lana Del Rey, who has been an inspiration for Cyrus for quite some time now. Also being inspired by Madonna herself and her iconic "Justify My Love" as I don't think I'm the only one to notice the similarities in the song number six on album, "Handstand". It's a unique album and is unlike any Miley album, but let's be honest, no album of the singer's is alike, and that's a great talent, making her a musical chameleon.
It's a well-deserved 8.1 / 10 as it is undeniably good, but it does have certain flaws that keep it from perfection. I must say it deserves more recognition than it's getting, it would be a dream to see Miley succeed even more, especially after so many years of being constantly criticized and ignored for every decision she's made with her career. I'll just say: we love to see a queen succeed.

Talking a bit about the sounds of the album in general, you can tell that the main genre is pop, but it has a lot of rock and alternative tinges, which have accompanied Miley in her last musical projects and is something I really love, because she has the voice and the talent to be a Rock Star. We can also see something that she mentioned, and that is that she divided the album in two parts, "AM" and "PM", being that the day is something more exciting, expectant, fun and full of possibilities, and on the other hand, the night is a little more somber, mysterious, dark and glamorous, something that I really appreciated, because it makes the whole album experience even more fun and enriching.
With this album we notice Miley empowered, eccentric, ready to be totally her, with a sound that is new and it's almost like being able to see Miley Cyrus for who she is, for her own sound, with this beautiful, intriguing and enjoyable style. Simply a true musical gem that deserves more popularity and has been given Universal Acclaim by professional critics.

The whole journey comes to an end, unlike Miley Cyrus' Endless Summer Vacation, and I can only say Bravo!, she devoured this album, totally tore it up and delivered everything we need and more. Bienvenidos una vez más a mis críticas musicales. He tenido un álbum en mi mente durante todos estos días, una joya nueva y recién estrenada que merece mucho más reconocimiento y que es imposible pasar por alto, un álbum que desde antes de estrenarse tenía un hit en su repertorio. Vamos a hacer reseña y escuchar juntos “Endless Summer Vacation” de Miley Cyrus.
Me he sentido corto de inspiración, eso suele pasar, ya sea por pocos ánimos o por distintas razones, ahora, ¿cuál es mi medicina para estos momentos? Un buen álbum músical. Por suerte para mí, hace unos pocos días la artista Miley Cyrus nos regaló una de las grandes joyas musicales del año, con una diversidad de ritmos y sonidos que sin duda alguna podrán inspirarles.
Con siete álbumes de estudio en su espalda, Miley Cyrus sigue creciendo como artista y se propone liberar el octavo. Tenía mucho que probar, al menos para mí, pues el predecesor de el nuevo álbum fue una joya inolvidable, y es que cuando escuché por primera vez “Plastic Hearts” allá en 2020, un montón de sentimientos y emociones me invadió, volviéndose uno de mis favoritos de toda su carrera. Como esta era apenas empieza, solo contamos con dos sencillos, pero no impide que hagamos crítica de estas dos canciones y del álbum en general, así que preparen una buena bebida, cómprense un lindo ramo de flores y únanse a mí en esta experiencia musical con “Endless Summer Vacation” de Miley Cyrus.
Como ese tipo de sueño que no se puede vender
Teníamos razón hasta que no la tuvimos.
Todos estábamos impacientes por nueva música de la cantante, anhelando al menos un adelante, y finalmente el 12 de enero de este año fue liberada la canción que se volvería todo un hit de amor propio. No fue liberada tal día solo por casualidad, porque es el día del cumpleaños de su exesposo Liam, con quien tuvo una tumultuosa relación que finalmente llegó a su fin. La canción habla mucho de cómo ella puede amarse más que esta persona, ella puede comprarse flores y sacarse a bailar, y al final del día es un excelente mensaje, porque no necesitamos a nadie más que nosotros mismos para recibir amor, y eso no tiene precio.
En cuanto a producción, no hay mucho que decir porque es ¡Perfecta!, la canción es un hit, es bailable, tiene buen ritmo y no sale de tu cabeza, es un sonido que ciertamente no había escuchado antes en Miley, pero que no deja de encantarme, algo que parece ser le pasó a todos, pues la canción estuvo durante seis semanas en la cima del listado de éxitos más importante de la música, comprobando que aún después de ocho álbumes, Miley realmente sigue siendo alguien en la industria y tiene el reconocimiento que merece.
Escucharla es amarla, se los digo, Flowers es viral por todas las razones correctas y amamos ver esto. Escoger esta canción como sencillo líder de la era fue una decisión perfecta, porque puso a Miley Cyrus en boca de todos y nos preparó para recibir un álbum lleno de arte, de inicio a fin.
¿Puedes pasearme por el parque solo para hacerlo lucir?.
¿Puedes hacer una canción con vibras sensuales, un vídeo icónico y que sea verdadero arte? Miley Cyrus dijo: sí. Esta canción es una joya, quizá la mejor canción del álbum en definitiva. Tiene tantas capas, evoca tantos sentimientos, te hace querer escucharla en repetición, pues justo así me pasó. Apenas la sacó hace algunos días como segundo sencillo de la era, junto al álbum completo, y yo simplemente la tengo en repetición desde entonces.
La canción es bastante pop, se nota el cambio que tuvo de Flowers, no suena igual a las otras canciones, es casi como que tuviera una vibra de los 80’s-90’s pero en su manera muy única, muy Miley. Tiene una producción exquisita, donde quizá recurrió al uso de algún sample, porque noto cierta similitud en alguna canción que no logro recordar, sin embargo logra hacerlo de ella, no suena repetido. La canción evoluciona y la única parte que no termina de encantarme es el puente, pero lo compensa con el resto de la canción.
La letra es casi explícita, aunque no necesitas mucho más que leerla para saber que habla de sexo, por eso evoca tanta sexualidad con su voz y con los ritmos. Lo interesante es que según ella la canción va evolucionando, pues al principio habla de esta aventura casi como algo prohibido, como no queriéndose enamorar de la persona con la que al principio solo quería tener un encuentro más casual, sin embargo, al final está enamorada y cree que esta persona puede ser la indicada. No puedo sacar de mi cabeza el pre-coro, simplemente no puedo: “Mi corazón late tan fuerte que me está ahogando”.

Adoré el álbum, de eso no me queda una sombra de dudas, porque cuando lo escuchas de principio a fin te quedas anonadado con la inmensa y notable evolución musical y vocal de Miley a través de los años. Sin embargo, no logró superar a su antecesor, y desde un principio tenía ese presentimiento, porque el legado de “Plastic Hearts” sería difícil de opacar. Eso no quita que el álbum sea una joya, sea muy inteligente, lleno de hermosos sonidos y múltiples referencias que no logro superar. Amé escuchar en “You” referencias en producción a Lana Del Rey, quién ha sido una inspiración para Cyrus desde hace ya un buen tiempo. También siendo inspirada por la mismísima Madonna y su icónico “Justify My Love” pues no creo ser el único en notar las similitudes en la canción del álbum número seis “Handstand”. Es un álbum único y no se parece a ningún álbum de Miley, pero siendo honestos, ningún álbum de la cantante se parece, y eso es un gran talento, lo que la convierte en un camaleón musical.
Es un merecido 8.1 / 10 pues es innegablemente bueno, pero sí tiene ciertas fallas que lo alejan de la perfección. Debo decir que merece más reconocimiento del que está teniendo, sería un sueño ver triunfar aún más a Miley, en especial luego de tantos años de ser constantemente criticada e ignorada por cada decisión que ha tomado con su carrera. Solo diré: Amamos ver a una reina triunfar.

Hablando un poco de los sonidos del álbum en general, se nota que el género principal es pop, pero tiene muchos tintes de rock y alternativo, que han acompañado a Miley en sus últimos proyectos musicales y es algo que de verdad adoro, pues tiene la voz y el talento para ser toda una Estrella del Rock. También podemos ver algo que ella mencionó, y es que dividió el álbum en dos partes, “Día” y “Noche”, siendo que el día es algo más emocionante, expectante, divertido y lleno de posibilidades, y por otro lado, la noche es un poco más sombría, misteriosa, oscura y glamurosa, algo que de verdad aprecié, porque hace la experiencia del álbum completo aún más divertida y enriquecedora.
Con este álbum notamos a Miley empoderada, excéntrica, lista para ser totalmente ella, con un sonido que es nuevo y es casi como poder ver a Miley Cyrus por quién es, por su propio sonido, con este estilo tan hermoso, intrigante y disfrutable. Simplemente una verdadera joya musical que merece más popularidad y que la crítica profesional le ha otorgado Aclamación Universal.

Todo el viaje llega a su fin, a diferencia de las Vacaciones de Verano Interminables de Miley Cyrus, y solo puedo decir ¡Bravo!, ella devoró este álbum, la rompió totalmente y nos entregó todo lo que necesitamos y más.
