Are you into EDM, hip hop and rave music? Well so am I! At least I used to party, like go to raves or music festivals a decade or so ago. It started because I had relationship issues, when it ended, well you know how it goes.

Having all that jumbled up feelings or even an empty feeling inside makes you just wanna drink and get wasted while dancing to some EDM beats. You want to forget, you want to escape by getting drunk in the hopes that the pain will go away. But it doesn't, alcohol never helps you truly deal with it. 😂

Short Background for Context Before We Get to the Three Songs

Anyway after 2 or so years of partying I got out of it because I eventually had my first blackout drunk episode. 😂 Yes I had fun but it's not great to not remember some parts of it afterwards. So I decided to just have fun on my own at home, listening to EDM/party music and dance like whatever to it.

Fast forward to Lent 2023, I became a renewed Catholic (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3) . Meaning I'm a cradle Catholic but mostly was lukewarm all my life then turned cold, and praise God I finally surrendered my life to God so now I'm burning hot for the Lord! 🔥

Yeah that was the time I finally realized only He can fill up the empty spaces of our hearts that alcohol or any other addiction could never fill! Only the Lord can free us from our burdens caused by our many sins! 🙌

Party Music via Groovy Pop/Hip-Hop Praise Songs

I found Cory Asbury more than a decade ago and thought his songs are amazing. Not something to dance or party to but definitely worth listening to. Since then I haven't updated my Christian music playlist except for the ones I mentioned below in the 'powerful song' section.

So wait lemme finally talk about the songs of Forrest Frank because these days I'll definitely party-partey with God anytime! As I said, I've been so out of the loop with Christian music for a decade now and have just discovered this guy because of the miracle healing God did for him!

Saw that post last week and I got curious so I checked the article out. And of course I checked the 2 new songs he released while his back was injured and boom! That's how I learned how cool his songs are!

Jesus has been telling me during confession lately that I need to lighten up. What better way to stop having a serious religious attitude all the time than with catchy praise songs?!

🎼 The Forrest Frank Praise Song That Started It All

So I was watching an interview of Forrest Frank and learned the history or how he came up with some of his songs. It's so amazing to know how God works in different Jesus believers.

Here's the first Christian song he created on his solo album: No Longer Bound.

I love how he always has this message of Jesus taking him out of the dark or something. Haha. Not only this song but other ones too. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life indeed! I am also a living proof and testimony of this.

When I surrendered my life to Jesus (like that song, Jesus Take the Wheel) boom! Life got truly amazing! Every hardship becomes worth more than gold! If only everyone knew how awesome life with God is. Ah I can only sigh at how many people are missing out and choosing to wallow in misery as if there's no way out.

And because I have been living for two years and counting with the Lord in my life I can only praise God forever. His mercy and love for all of us is overflowing! God is good all the time, even when there are many problems I am not bothered like when I was deep in sin.

God's way is so much better! I don't know why I've never met any Christian who has been vocally sharing this tidbit. As if it's a secret the devil doesn't want people to know. 😂 What the heck. Too many people suffering because they don't have the Lord in their life. Tsk tsk.

Demons make us blind and stupid imho. We think we're intelligent and smart when we're worldly but na-ah. 😆 Call on God constantly, pray always and repent regularly to be free from all your pain and suffering caused by ourselves + demons! ✝️♥️🙏

🎶 This Powerful Song, Like Praying Twice Indeed

From that same interview I discovered this song. Frank said he got Lift My Hands while in the shower. haha. Like a full song was given to him and he just had to "trace it" and put it into an actual musical composition.

Wasn't that awesome? 🥰 Praise songs can really lift us up and even keeps evil spirits away! Just ask any exorcist priest and they'll tell you demons hate Gregorian chants and any praise song! If you wanna get rid of intrusive thoughts, why not play some Christian songs?

We need different kinds of music for a variety of moods. Been listening to Gregorian chants everyday and playing it as background music. Sometimes I also play church songs from Bukas Palad by JesCom Music. With Frank's songs I realized pop Christian music are the way to go to keep me grounded with the Lord. I mean, we're still human so it's not bad to feel good human emotions from time to time.
