Donald Glover is possibly my favorite artist. I love his music and everything he does, I find him to be a very talented person and well, from what he lets on in interviews and events, a very humble and funny person. Although I can't say anything personal, I feel he has changed my life in different ways, because his contribution to pop culture is very interesting. Donald Glover began his career as a stand up comedian and soon catapulted to television in the series Comunnity, then began his career as a rapper and singer under the name Childish Gambino and from there he has made history as producer, creator and star of the series Atlanta. Now he has also appeared in huge movies such as Star Wars' Solo and Marvel's Spiderman saga. Thinking about this, I wondered, what other artists stepped out of their comfort zone and succeeded with that decision? Well, here are a couple:
-John cena and Dave Bautista: here I could also put The Rock because he became the most sought after actor at some point, but on a quality level John Cena and Dave Bautista are the WWE wrestlers who have advanced the most in history. Dave Bautista working with one of my favorite directors, Denis Villanueve, who was able to give him great dramatic roles in Dune and Blade Runner 2049, showing what an actor can do with so little screen time. In addition, Dave has also worked with James Gunn on Guardians of the Galaxy. This is interesting because you can tell that James Gunn knows how to make the most of his actors, as John Cena also worked with him playing Peacemaker in both the movie the suicide squad and the peacemaker series.
-David Bowie: we all know how amazing David Bowie was in life, the great music he managed to make and all that he fought for people's rights and to show how he saw the world, however, beyond his amazing music, David Bowie made cameos in several movies and I find fascinating the great bearing he had even when he was a very old person. An example of this was his role as Nikola Tesla in Nolan's great film The Prestige.
-Dylan Minnette: 13 Reason Why was, in its time, a great series that got people talking all over the world, but I was struck by the direction taken by its lead actor Dylan Minnette as the leader of Wallows, an indie rock band that is as funny as it is charming and that works in the best way to listen to something very similar to the old arctic monkeys or the killers, but more contemporary.
-Terry Crews: last but not least, I want to leave one of the most beloved people in the pop culture world. From being able to be vulnerable and talk about his abuse in front of the cameras to encourage people to communicate their anecdotes, to making us laugh in any role he plays, Terry won the affection of many and by leaving his acting career aside, he started to show the talent he has to paint on canvas and has been very well supported all over the internet for that.

Donald Glover es posiblemente mi artista favorito. Me encanta su música y todo lo que hace, me parece una persona muy talentosa y bueno, por lo que deja ver en entrevistas y eventos, una persona muy humilde y divertida. Aunque no puedo decir nada personal, siento que ha cambiado mi vida de diferentes formas, porque su aporte a la cultura pop es muy interesante. Donald Glover empezó su carrera como comediante en stand up y pronto se catapultó a la televisión en la serie Comunnity, después empezó su carrera cómo rapero y cantante bajo el nombre de Childish Gambino y desde ahà ha hecho historia siendo productor, creador y protagonista de la serie Atlanta. Ahora también ha aparecido en pelÃculas inmensas como en Solo de Star Wars y en la saga de Spiderman de Marvel. Pensando en esto, me pregunté, ¿qué otros artistas salieron de su zona de confort y triunfaron con esa decisión? Pues aquà te van un par:

Dave Bautista trabajando con uno de mis directores favoritos, Denis Villanueve, quien supo darle grandes papeles dramáticos en Dune y en Blade Runner 2049, mostrando lo que un actor puede hacer con tan poco tiempo en pantalla. Además, Dave también ha trabajado con James Gunn en guardianes de la galaxia. Esto es interesante porque se nota que James Gunn sabe aprovechar a sus actores, ya que John Cena también trabajó con él haciendo de Peacemaker tanto en la pelÃcula the suicide squad como en la serie de the peacemaker.
-David Bowie: todos sabemos lo increÃble que fue David Bowie en vida, la grandiosa música que logró hacer y todo lo que lucho por los derechos de las personas y para mostrar cuál era su forma de ver el mundo, sin embargo, más allá de su increÃble música, David Bowie hizo cameos en varias pelÃculas y me parece fascinante el gran porte que tenÃa incluso ya siendo una persona muy mayor. Un ejemplo de esto fue su papel como Nikola Tesla en la grandiosa pelÃcula de Nolan The Prestige.
-Dylan Minnette: 13 reason why fue, en su época, una gran serie que dio de que hablar en todo el mundo, pero a mà me llamó la atención la dirección que tomó su actor protagonista Dylan Minnette sea el lÃder de Wallows, una banda de indie rock que es tan divertida cómo encantadora y que funciona de la mejor manera a la hora de escuchar algo muy parecido a los viejos arctic monkeys o the killers, pero más contemporáneo.
-Terry Crews: por último quiero dejar a una de las personas más amadas por todo el mundo que sigue la cultura pop. Desde poder ser vulnerable y hablar de su abuso frente a las cámaras para asà alentar a las personas a comunicar sus anécdotas, hasta hacernos reÃr en cualquier papel que le toca interpretar, Terry se ganó el cariño de muchos y al dejar su carrera de actor a un lado, comenzó a mostrar el talento que tiene para pintar sobre lienzo y ha sido muy bien apoyado en todo el internet por eso.
