AFRITUNES WEEK 174//HANU A SAMA BY BISHOP TEE(COVER BY AO WILSON)
Greetings to y'all in Hive blockchain technology. I go by the name @aowilson and this is my entry for AFRITUNES WEEK 174. This week I will be sharing a song originally sung by Bishop Tee titled Hanu A Sama( translated to My hands lifted up). It's a Hausa song. The author hails from Jos, Plateau State Nigeria. I really feel like to share with you this song from my heart, it is the current call and beating of my heart.
So the song is in Hausa language, one of the 3 prominent languages spoken in Nigeria, mostly the north. It means my hands lifted up, Jesus I am before you, with my hands lifted up.
The song speaks of a brokenness to the presence of Jesus Christ, a surrender. When you lift your hands, it's a sign of surrender, giving up, showing weakness. So as we sing and say that Jesus we are before you with hands lifted up, we are surrendering to Him, we are giving up all that we have and we are giving him the lead.
We are we called to surrender our everything to him. All to him we owe our all. This is beyond just a song, it's a heart posture, it's beyond raising hands physically, it is a thing of the heart. May God receive us as we raise our hands in surrender to him.
Enjoy!!!
