Gigging: May 29 2023

We stayed around town today and went through the Riverside Park in the morning. I wasn't in the best of moods after not sleeping very well the night before and the day started out a little grey, which didn't help lifting my spirits.
By lunchtime the sun was out though and the evening walk was bright but very short after I returned from a gig in Orwell.
I am making up some steps on the treadmill right now just before bedtime. I am not worried that I won't be able to sleep as I am dead tired.. lol

The gig in the afternoon was in a pub in Orwell; it's the local of friends of ours and it turned out to be very nice.
There were a few people inside watching, but the majority listened from the outside.
It was quite funny when a woman peeked through a window on my left to find out who was singing "Brand New Key" by Melanie. The song seems to get people engaged and a fair few always sing or hum along, sometimes they use the lyrics of the "Combine Harvester".

Vicky told me that people really loved what we did and she'll let us know when the next event is on. Always great to know! 😁

At least the weather was good for most of the weekend. Quite cool today and it is almost June!
