Full Moon and Music: May 4 2023

The morning was the usual around the park.

In the evening I went to Hitchin to watch a friend performing his own songs. I had said for some time I would come again, but never got around, Hitchin isn't around the corner from me, but as I've got the week off...
It so happens that on Thursday nights there is also an Open Mic at the Sun Hotel, just 5 minutes away from where Pete was playing and of course couldn't I resist..

There were loads of people I knew from other venues, but I as my phone was on its way out I didn't take many pictures or even videos. I will be better prepared next time.

This is Jason, who I hadn't met before. He played some Jazz and show tunes as the opener..
and brilliant he was at that!!

I'm not sure what happened with this picture I took of Mark, aka Marcus; I thought my new phone was up to zooming in.. I will put it down as an arty shot...
After I had played my set Marcus and I popped over to the Angels' Share.

And here we are at the very place where @steevc went for a whisky evening not so long ago.
It was an absolutely marvellous evening! You can see Trevor to the left of Pete playing harmonica.. They both are terrific players.

It was a great night out and when I finally walked back to my car at around half past eleven I was looking at a full moon which looked amazing!
I tried to take a picture, but I was unable to capture the magic! 😫
