I went to music school around ’89 where I learned that I was never going to be a jazz player. I would say, however, that I have made some progress in recent years especially playing jazz blues. But hi intermediate to low level pro is the best I am at my best which is not lately for sure.
In those days there was a player named Stanley Jordan and Tory has many of the same attributes: like phenomenal!
In my own playing I was able to incorporate cascading harmonics ala Lenny Breau--at least enough to sound decent. But doing what she is doing? Not a chance! Basically she is playing the guitar like a piano and is a virtuoso with that rare ability to split the brain so that it can do complex things with both hands: all great drummers have this talent, too.
