3 songs that I've been listening for ages/ Canciones que he escuchado desde siempre

A lo largo de nuestra vida hay canciones que nos marcan y que suponen un antes y un después, también como personas evolucionamos en lo que nos gusta, lo que nos gustaba ayer puede que no nos guste mañana pero siempre hay constantes, este post habla sobre tres canciones que han sido recurrentes en mi escucha diaria a lo largo de esta decada o más:

Throughout our lives there are songs that mark us and that represent a before and after, also as people we evolve in what we like, what we liked yesterday we may not like tomorrow but there are always constants, this post talks about three songs that have been recurrent in my daily listening throughout this decade or even more:

Esta canción salió en los 2000, cuando probablemente la mayoría de los usuarios de esta comunidad aún no había nacido jajaja! Yo tenía en ese entonces 6 años y la conozco por Nickelodeon, me gustaba mucho cuando pasaban el vídeo porque disfrutaba de la música, en ese entonces mi vocabulario en ingles era escaso por no decir que inexistente por lo que no entendía la letra pero el sentimiento de felicidad que me transmitía solo la música era más que suficiente y creo que por esto siempre me gustó y es por esto mismo que después de más de dos décadas es una canción que sigo frecuentando, por ese efecto que alegrar un dia cuando me estoy sintiendo mal. Por cierto, creo que siempre voy a extrañar a Daft Punk, eran increíbles.

This song came out in the 2000's, when probably most of the users of this community were not born yet hahaha! I was 6 years old at the time and I know it from Nickelodeon, I liked it a lot when they showed the video because I enjoyed the music, back then my English vocabulary was scarce if not non-existent so I didn't understand the lyrics but the feeling of happiness that the music alone transmitted was more than enough and I think that's why I always liked it and that's why after more than two decades it's a song that I still frequent, for that effect that brightens up a day when I'm feeling bad. By the way, I think I will always miss Daft Punk, they were amazing.

Al contrario de "One more time", está canción es mi canción de estar triste y llena de nostalgia, cuando conocí a "Gorillaz" ya estaba adolescente y entender y procesar la letra de esta canción tuvo un gran impacto en mi. Para mí la canción habla de que no siempre obtenemos lo que queremos pero nuestro no siempre es malo, a veces es lo mejor y siempre habrá un lado bueno en las cosas

Unlike "One more time", this song is my song of being sad and full of nostalgia, when I met "Gorillaz" I was already a teenager and understanding and processing the lyrics of this song had a big impact on me. For me the song talks about how we don't always get what we want but our not always bad, sometimes it's for the best and there will always be a good side to things.

Esta canción ha sido mi himno desde que entré en el mundo del servicio y la ayuda humanitaria, creo que representa lo que vivo en un día a día en mi labor como voluntaria y los cambios pequeños pero significativos que tratamos de hacer en las personas con las que trabajamos. Además, es una canción que me empodera a seguir adelante cuando siento que las cosas se ponen un poco difíciles en mi día a día y es una rolita increíble para cantar en el carro mientras vas manejando porque su puente es increíble.

Otras destacables de estas recurrentes: Atrevete-te de Calle 13, Instant crush de Daft Punk, All the small things by Blink-182, Speak now de Taylor Swift y básicamente toda la discografia de Taylor Swift en general pero eso es para otro post.

This song has been my anthem since I entered the world of service and humanitarian aid, I think it represents what I experience on a day to day basis in my work as a volunteer and the small but significant changes we try to make in the people we work with. Also, it's a song that empowers me to keep going when I feel that things get a little difficult in my day to day life and it's an amazing song to sing in the car while driving because its bridge is incredible.
Other highlights of these recurring ones: Atrevete-te by Calle 13, Instant crush by Daft Punk, All the small things by Blink-182, Speak now by Taylor Swift and basically all of Taylor Swift's discography in general but that's for another post.
