The day I first heard this song, I made sure it got stuck on repeat. The chorus got me hooked. The lyrics is quite deep too.
There's some kind of way we feel when we end up being strangers with people whom we thought we were building a dynasty with.
Every kind of relationship is an investment of our time, emotion, and energy. When we see it come crashing, it pierces down to the bone marrow as seen on MIIA's facial expression.
Regardless of what might be the outcome of any relationship, nothing feels better than being genuinely immersed while it lasted. It's actually a gift to love and be loved, no wonder it hurt badly when it ends.
My sister made me love this song while I was growing up. It was more like her anthem. She reminded me that I can always find a go-to person, and best be a member of my family to always lean on. Family always stay when every other person leaves.. Well, some friends also stick closer than a brother. Just pray you find a genuine soul whose got you like you've got them too.
We all need someone to lean on because we can't do life alone. Through our dark days, these ones come through for us with their light of encouragement, cheer, smiles, advice, support and everything we need to keep going.
Even when people have hurt us in the past, it's not valid reason to do life alone. Along the line, we begin to feel so alone because we are social beings. Connect and thrive. That's how we've been wired.
