One For The Belly, Another For The Broken Heart. #TTT
Hello Music Lovers....
How are you doing today? It's another beautiful Tuesday to share three tunes for the #ttt by @ablaze.
I will be sharing three songs from a Nigerian artist called Omah Lay
I hope you are ready for this. Okay without further ado let's get started.
Omah Lay - I'm a mess
The 26-year-old artist sang a very relatable song.
It is normal to say "Fine" when we are asked how we are doing, but deep down we are not fine, however, we fear being vulnerable, especially to the wrong people who might end up using our weakness against us.
Some days we are so full of life ready to smash all the goals and just vibe other days we are lazing around, unmotivated and do not even want to do anything simply because of something happening around us, it could be a lack of finance, or not having a support system, or the bad economy or even a loss of a loved one (death or end of a relationship) and so many factors, sometimes we begin to over think everything and isolate ourselves.
Omah Lay talks about his dark days when he turned to alcohol for solace as he didn't know who to turn to when he got vulnerable and I think most of us can relate, we might not turn to alcohol but we can just withdraw from people and hide in our shell until the phase passed.
We are always a mess once in a while in our lives and I just love the sincerity in the song, we don't need to pretend we are fine all the time, I think it's normal to feel low and then find a way to get off that couch and do life again.
This guy is such a versatile singer and his voice is so unique and enchanting.
We mostly rely on supernatural powers to boost our confidence, well kn whatever we believe in.
I just love everything about this song maybe thats why I shared it.
Let's end this #ttt with this beautiful song from Omah Lay, see how a Nigerian tries to speak Spanish, now that's impressive.
That will be all for this week, see you next week.
