Let Love Lead #TTT
I am excited to join the #threetunestuesday created by @ablaze. It is my first time posting here and so I've carefully chosen three songs that suit what I feel today.
Black-eyed peas- Where is the love?"
This song was released in May 2003. It's oldies but evergreen.
The reason I chose this song is not far-fetched, I see many people today celebrating love and then I ask myself where is even the love?
When the world is now filled with cruelty and chaos, love has been replaced with trauma, something terrible happened to a friend of mine, her 12-years old daughter died mysteriously in her school during their school's inter-house sport. The whole news has gone viral. You can watch the video here on Instagram and see for yourself how callous and inhumane people can be.
She's in so much pain demanding answers from the school authority on how her child died and everyone seems not to be bothered and told her to accept her fate like that.
Do I need to state that this is not the first time such a thing is happening in that school and schools around that axis?
This is a screenshot of a conversation between me and a mutual friend of the girl's family.
Whatever happened to empathy? Whatever happened to true love not based on selfish interest, a love that doesn't discriminate between races, tribes, and nationalities?
If there is love, why is there so much injustice, chaos, and violence?
My heart is shattered and I wish today will make a difference, I wish we can all practice what we preach, I wish people would see beyond the celebration of love that this love needs to spread, it's not only towards lovers and friends or family but to all humans in general, to the needy, the children, the elderly, the sick and bereaved and the society at large.
Pink Sweat, -At my worst
This song was released in July 2020.
This song preaches loving people at their worst, sticking and remaining loyal not only at the good time but at their worst.
So today, I implore all of you including me to love past people's imperfections, there is beauty in everyone if we can love them beyond the surface and love them for who they are, everyone deserves to be loved, and love is not so expensive to give and everyone is worth your love.
I've come to realize that people wear a mask to cover up their vulnerability because if they showed you their flaws would you stay?
If they open up to you would you not judge them and leave them in the middle of nowhere?
So they lie to make up for what they lack because they crave this love and acceptance.
So if people chose to be true to you, show you their flaws, and make effort to be better, love them for who they are and accept their beautiful imperfections.
And we do not need to have a mood for love, "oh I feel good today, I'll share the love", what happens at your lowest or worst days? Spread love still. Be kind to someone regardless.
Michael Jackson, -Heal the world
The oldest of them all, this song was released on November 1992.
I chose this song to conclude today's #TTT because we all have a part to play to make the world a better place.
A drop of love here and there will make the world a peaceful and better place to live in.
In our daily lives, in our homes, and at our workplaces can we be the change we want to see?
Can we become even kinder and more thoughtful to people out there?
Let's all lend a hand to make the world better for our children and children's children and take responsibility for our actions.
Let today not be the only day we share the love with people, but let love be the theme of our lifestyle, sharing it with one and all for the rest of our lives.
Remember that sharing love doesn't cost a dime, have a heart and be empathetic today and stop discrimination based on material possession, skin color, or any indifference. Let unity and love lead.

Where really is the love, I heard about the story of the girl, it's so disheartening. I pray God grant her parents the strength to heal.
Thanks for the kind comment.
Oh! That is Chrisland school again where the case of a boy who was bullied till he died. What is happening? That is bad. They should shut the school forever. How can a parent not be at peace knowing her child is in a school where she supposed they should take care of her? This is absurd and I think the school has some hidden secrets.
It´s great seeing you joining us in this community and it feels good having another member being added to those participating in the ttt challenge. You brought great songs with amazing meaning, especially the first song I listened to. Let´s keep seeing more from you.
Thank you, sis, I'll keep showing up.
I think the one you're referring to is Dowen school this one I wrote about happened last week.
Wait... They seriously told a grieving Mum to "accept her fate"? Wow! That's an inhumane statement from a school that's supposed to prioritize duty of care over everyother thing.
It's insane. Seriously, we don't know where the love is.
So many acts of inhumanity is happening and all of them are spearheaded by humans. People take pride in causing mayhem to those around them. It's insane.
Well, we will keep spreading love. Those of us that are capable of it will continue doing it. Nice tunes right there ✌️
Thank you.🤗
I'm terribly sorry to hear about the loss of that 12 year old little angel, how very very sad, my heart goes out to her family and loved ones.
Thanks for your #ttt picks which had a really nice uplifting happy giving theme beneath, even if the world can be anything but those things sometimes.
Great to have you sharing tunes @amiegeoffrey
