Hello Music Lovers...
Today is gonna be a whole vibe on the #ttt initiated by @ablaze.

Trust me when I say that because I have taken my precious time to dig out oldies from the African Music Archive.

Ever heard of Angélique Kidjo before?

Well, I might have to begin this edition with her song because why not?

Angélique Kidjo -- Agolo

Hehe, did you feel the energy behind this song? Don't tell me you are not feeling it oh.

Okay, let's talk a little about this beautiful African Queen.

Angélique Kidjo is a Dahomey-born singer, Dahomey is now known as the Federal Republic of Benin which shares a common boundary with The Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The beautiful thing about this singer is how talented she is, she is not just a singer but also an actress, and not just that, she successfully incorporates different languages into her songs which makes her songs unique.

While listening to her songs, I took note that she sings in Yoruba, English, French and some other languages I do not know😃😃😃.

Well, this song was first heard by me as a child and when I decided to share her songs, it brought forth sweet memories of my childhood days, I listened to this particular song from a popular radio station in my country back then and I loved her song titled "Maliaka" the most, and then the "wombolombo".

Agolo is a song dedicated to her land and Mother Earth in general, she preached humanity, love and generosity in this song.

Enough of the talk, let's get our dancing shoes because I am about to get you off that couch.

Go!!!

Official Mafikizolo Khona

All the way from South Africa... Haha,

This song was a banger that year, it made waves so much that I started speaking in tongues just to vibe along.

Check out the dance step. Haha, how about their costumes? What do you think?

Okay, let's do the Khona dance, please......

I saved the best for the last.

Awilo Longomba Coupe Bambam

I bet you didn't see this coming..🤣🤣🤣

All the way from Congo. This song never goes out of style, if you didn't hear this song while growing up, well now you have the opportunity to vibe along.

Our end-of-year party in primary/secondary school wasn't complete without this song oh.

Makosa and Awilo was the hottest dancing town🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, Awilo is a name but eventually became a dance.

Kupekupe ku bam bamm, I do not understand the lyrics of this song, but I know how to dance it If you don't know how to, please let's dance together.

I can see you dancing now, haha.

This will be all for this week's #ttt I hope you enjoyed listening and I look forward to doing this with you next week.

I don't really know much about the first song but the second and third I'm aware of it but you see that awilo song I was not really a kid or an adult when it came out, may be a teenager but I'm very sure every one was playing the songs especially birthday parties.
