Welcome to this week's #ttt by @ablaze, these songs have been carefully selected for this week to emphasize my theme.. #AreYouJustADime?

I hope you enjoy listening and reading.

Mario Vasquez -Gallery

Released in 2006.

I heard this song a couple of times while I was still in high school, but it makes more sense to me now than ever as an adult.

Most people stick in toxic relationships because of Money, in this music video, Mario talks about a very beautiful lady who deserves more than how she's been treated by her Man.

He has a world of pretty ladies who was a dime to him, he never respects them, he treats her like trash and yet she was confused as to whether to leave or stay.

The question is "Is the money worth her soul?"
Though this song focuses on the feminine more, I think it applies to both genders.

Why stay in a toxic relationship for the sake of wealth? Why mess with your mental health? Or are you just a dime?

Alicia Keys -A woman's worth

Releases in 2001

What are you settling for? Do you know your worth?

We all deserve genuine love and a consistent attitude, this song is about being confident in yourself and knowing what you deserve, and not settling for anything less.

True love doesn't cost a dime, though gifts can be the love language of some, however, do they get you gifts just to manipulate you, do they get you gifts after you've been intentionally belittled? You are worth more than all that.

The mentality most people have is, all a woman wants is just material possession, while others see a woman as a sex object. In this music, Alicia Keys made it clear that a woman deserves more than that, she wants your protection, assurance, attention, care, and time and she deserves to be treated with respect.

Trust me, when a woman is being treated rightly, she submits naturally and can go to any length for her man.

Joe I wanna know

Released in 2000.

There's this mentality about having a Spec, when growing up, we have this imaginary man or woman we hope to meet in the future and I think this is the problem.

Our Spec might not be who we deserve, growing up made me realize that our idea behind the word Spec ends up being an Illusion because as we grow up all we want is who brings us the most peace, understand us, and share our goals and vision, most times we don't end up marrying our spec.🤭

But people who have unto looking for their spec eventually might get lucky or get lost at the end, because by then it's just the physique we aim at and that's why we get hurt at the end.

This video is about a Man who noticed how wrongly a woman has been treated and was ready to make her feel happy, if Joe wasn't her Soec, she might have ignored the beautiful qualities he had, still looking for Spec up and down.

So these songs remind us to look beyond the surface before courting or tying the knot with a person.

Looks fade away after a while, and material possessions could be lost, but a kind and good person is a kind good person regardless.

Look for someone who knows your worth, treats you right, and loves you for who you are whether you are a male or female.

These are great tunes. Alicia Keys and Joe songs are classics in their own right. Alicia Keys emphasises the need to know a woman's worth while Joe wants to know what to do to please the woman. A contrast indeed. It's all about love, real love. Thanks for sharing these great tunes.
