Why do people lie? Have you ever wondered?

Obviously, I have concluded that people lie to make up for what they lack, or to save their alter ego, because why will a grown ass man or woman lie about their personality just to keep someone they claim to love?

Love itself is divine, pure, and kind. Anyone who tells a lie to someone they love, is nothing but mean. Lies set people's hope high and raise their expectations and leads to broken promises.

Recently, a friend told me how he was cajoled into being in a relationship with someone who was an opposite of who she claimed to be. Just like a flat tire, a bad character won't take you far, and someday the truth will be out.

Lies come with so much stress, you keep telling more to cover the first and if you're one with a short memory, oops! You're only going to embarrass yourself, because you end up contradicting yourself.

Love the way you lie- Rihanna ft Eminem

Why can't people just be themselves? There is surely someone at there who loves you just the way you are, what's with trying to be the perfect partner?

Sadly, people might eventually get married to a chronic liar only to find out much later, but by then, they are far too gone in the relationship.

Love the way you lie is a song with the theme "Deception".

The lyrics suggests one of the partner must have been a chronic liar to save their a relationship from sinking, and the other party found out at the eleventh hour. That's almost impossible for one who has invested a lot to walk away, only the brave and strongest of hearts will.

Lie hurts. Truth itself is very bitter but very profitable. At least, there's no need to keep covering up with more lies.

I consider a relationship built on lies as an abusive and toxic relationship, and to save one from the mental stress, one need to opt out and break free. It could make one traumatized and block one from experiencing true and genuine relationships.

It took my friend a lot to break free from his toxic relationship built on lies and till date, it's still having an impact on him.

Some people love hard. Sadly, these ones get used and abused all in the name of "Love." I hope we all get the love we deserve and find genuine souls to invest our time, emotions nd resources onon, not people who joke about with one's emotions.

The funny part of of the matter is that immediately one starts to lie the person keeps lying to cover other lies, unfortunately it destroys the relationship the person might think he's building with lies.

Great one.

You're right, lies require lots of stress to keep up.

just to keep someone they claim to love?

When a relationship begins with a lie, the foundation of such relationship is already very weak.
Friendships based on a lie tend to come crashing when the other party discovers the lie. So why even lie in the first place.

This was a lovely write up Amie✨

Hmm, this lie issue is so fundamental because any relationship built on lies will not stand or flourish.

Liars become cheaters and then murderers. It is a sick pattern that must be shunned.

You've gotten the point. Lies destroy a lot of thing, it truly must be shunned. Thanks for your visit.
