Hi people of God, I am @amazinggrace01, welcome to my space. This week IWill be doing a cover song of OH COME ALL YE FAITHFUL.
This is one of the most favorite and blessed Christmas carol song sung by believers all over the world. This song is an honest invitation to every christians to come and worship the new born king which is Jesus. He is the reason for the season don't forget that.
This song was first written and sang in latin and can be traced back to more than 18 century, and was translated to English by an English Catholic hymn writer and a son copywriter. The Latin of this hymn was spread in Europe especially by Catholic churches and then was later translated and became assessable to a wide range of audience.
The first line says "Oh come all yea faithful, joyful and triumphant" it denote that don't just come to Bethlehem but come with singing and heart full of gratitude, but our savior has been birthed in the world. The word faithful shows that only those who believe in his birth that his birth bring good tidings should come.
Throughout the hymn the chorus oh come let us adore him was sang and repeated, says it all that Christmas is more of adoration, reference and worship unto God not just the mere celebration of eating and drinking we do every year, we celebrate Christmas because of the birth of Jesus that brought us salvation.
I will urge everyone that our heart should be full of gratitude in this season and not just the meat that we have been eating in time past, let's take time to reflect in the salvation brought to mankind through his birth.
