Como músico tengo el compromiso de crecer un poco más cada día para así poder brindar una mejor enseñanza a todos los niños, jóvenes y adultos de quienes tengo la oportunidad de formar parte en su formación musical, por eso he emprendido el camino del aprendizaje de este bello instrumento que aporta muchas destrezas, ya sea como ejecutante solista del piano, como acompañante de otros instrumentos o voces y de manera particular en el trabajo coral, ya que ayuda mucho a entender como debe sonar de forma concreta una obra y como debe moverse cada voz para lograr hacer sonar el arreglo escrito.

As a musician I am committed to grow a little more every day in order to provide a better education to all children, youth and adults of whom I have the opportunity to be part of their musical training, so I have embarked on the path of learning this beautiful instrument that brings many skills, either as a soloist piano player, as an accompanist of other instruments or voices and particularly in choral work, as it helps a lot to understand how it should sound concretely a work and how each voice should move to make the written arrangement sound.

Tengo algo de tiempo desde que decidí asumir el compromiso con este instrumento y hoy quiero compartirles lo que será mi primera presentación de una bella canción, que seguramente muchos de los que ejecutan este instrumento y se han formado mediante estos métodos conocerán. Tomada del Libro de Thompson, II volumen, interpreto Pájaro Carpintero. Es una pieza escrita en compás de 3/4 con un indicación de tempo en Moderatto, lo que nos indica que la ejecución no puede ser tan veloz; esta canción me gusta bastante.

I have some time since I decided to take on the commitment with this instrument and today I want to share with you what will be my first presentation of a beautiful song, that surely many of those who play this instrument and have been trained through these methods will know. Taken from Thompson's Book, Volume II, I play Pájaro Carpintero. It is a piece written in 3/4 time with a tempo indication in Moderatto, which indicates that the execution cannot be so fast; I like this song very much.

Mi aprendizaje de este instrumento como los que ya ejecuto con más destreza, es de forma autodidacta. En la ciudad está un amigo pianista y él me dio los fundamentos básicos para iniciarme y los métodos por los cuales podía encaminarme y de allí empecé el trabajo en casa.

Algo que debo confesar, es que hace años este amigo me dijo que me pusiera a estudiar piano, ya que eso, me ayudaría y proporcionaría mas herramientas para mi trabajo como director coral, la verdad es que traté de aprender pero no manejaba mucho la lectura musical y otros elementos y al final desistí, siento que ahora es el momento en que puedo hacerlo, ya que con el poco conocimiento que tengo puedo realizar el aprendizaje sin necesidad de depender del acompañamiento de otra persona. La canción es sí es muy dinámica y divertida, espero les guste. No olvides dejar tu comentario.

My learning of this instrument, like the ones I already play with more skill, is self-taught. In the city there is a friend who is a pianist and he gave me the basic fundamentals to get started and the methods by which I could get on track and from there I started working at home.

Something I must confess, is that years ago this friend told me to start studying piano, because that would help me and provide more tools for my work as a choral director, the truth is that I tried to learn but I did not handle much music reading and other elements and in the end I gave up, I feel that now is the time when I can do it, because with the little knowledge I have I can do the learning without depending on the accompaniment of another person.
